Would like to see Dieter Hecking down at Finch Farm giving one of his stares to players swinging the lead.

Haha :D But Hecking is not a coach for Everton. He did good work at every club he was, but he is not a modern coach (in german we would say Laptoptrainer (notebookcoach) but he is not the right one. There are good coaches in the Bundesliga like Nagelsmann, Baum, Tedesco, Herrlich, Streich.., but most off them will never go to Everton. Wolf could be a coach who would do.

But interesting, that there has never been a coach here with a background from the Bundesliga.

Unless there’s open revolt at FF, then I can’t see any circumstances that’ll see fat head launched before May. We need 4 points from 9 games (barring a freak set of results st the bottom) to ensure PL survival, and we’ve averaged not far off 1.5 points per game under Allardyce. We’ll get the points we need, and then he’ll get his cheque.

Errrm mate we haven't averaged even close to 1.5 points per game under Allardyce, 15 games 19 points = 1.26 ppg.

More worrying would be the fact that 10 of those 19 came in his first 4 games in charge, so since that initial 'bounce' (2.5 points per game) - we have had 9 points in 11 games - 0.8 points per game, last 4 games - 3 points from 4 games - or 0.75 points per game.

Interesting comparison is that first 14 games of the season before we hired Sam - we had 15 points from 14 games, averaging 1.1 points per game. BFS would need 6 points out the next 4 games to be averaging the same points in the last 14 games as we did in the first 14 which saw us sack one manager and deem another not good enough.

Looking at this season, we aren't being saved by us hiring Allardyce at all, we are gonna stay up due to the effect a new manager bounce had on the complacency amongst the squad (13 points in a 5 game period surrounding the announcement and appointment of a permanent manager)

Just looking at the current trajectory of points per game, we are on target to get about 6 points from the remaining 9 games.

I like the jeans and jacket look many German coaches go for too; or alternatively the hoody and jeans.

Very fetching...though not very Teutonic.

Look at that Stone Island Jumper, looks like one of Tommy Robinsons storm troopers, who`s just had an Muslim family move in next door.

He looks like he could be panzer commander, tbf. Poor old Tommy Robinson (or Steven Lennon to use his given Gaelic name) would last about two minutes with Big Dieter.

he wont be sacked until we are mathematically safe, there's no doubt about that. imagine how stupid the board would look if we got relegated after sacking him. they have looked stupid enough with their decisions this season without making another blooper.

Just for the sake of it, checked the form for Allardyce next to Martinez given my above post over BFS points per game

The form which saw Martinez sacked before the Norwich game
Last 4 - 3 points (conceded 11)
Last 11 - 9 points (conceded 20)
Last 15 games - 15 points (conceded 23)

Alardyce form
Last 4 games - 3 points (conceded 9)
Last 11 games - 9 points (conceded 19)
Last 15 games - 18 points (conceded (21)

Basically the only difference between the two managers comes both in points and defensive record from the first couple of games Allardyce took over, which is alarming really.

He`ll have written off the Citteh and RS game already and every remaining away game will be set up for a point, so a win against Brighton on Saturday has all of a sudden become a pivotal game in this dreadful season.

How sad is that :(

Funny thing is - that any manager worth his salt can get this team up for playing City, hell even Koeman managed it, they are basically the polar opposite of the Koppites for this squad and we normally turn up against them.

However having a manager who will tell them to save themselves for the 6 pointers should ensure a good 5 goal drubbing...

I think that's alarming for the reason you mentioned elsewhere: you EXPECT a new manager boost to hand you a number of points (which, as you rightly said, we got), but the fall away has been dramatic. Martinez's figures are for a manager struggling under the weight of erratic form for two seasons and who's team could see it was the end of the road for him, so results cratered toward the end of his reign. Allardyce doesn't carry that weight with him, but he;s doing almost equally badly over the period he's been here.

I honestly see us getting 1 point from the next 12 available. That will put us on the edge of the abyss. Those on here who are sanguine about getting the points to get us safe are simply not studying the runes very hard.
