It is a risk depending on Unsworth for sure. Club seem to be in a very tight bind though trying to get someone acceptable in. We may still hear something before or by the weekend.

Contracts are worth nothing, I look on them as a fee that has to be paid during a managers tenure that's all. None of them deserve such inflated reward.

At this stage they might continue with Unsworth, possibly until Christmas, or give in and offer Allardyce most or all of what he wants. I imagine there is a lot of bluffing going on, on both sides, there. The problem with Unsworth staying on, but not confirmed, is that it adds uncertainty week by week, and that cannot be good. Additionally, if he is confirmed and continues to struggle, we are goosed.

The quick-fire run of games over Christmas, will define the season. I would rather we had our house in order before then.

Not sure how he might do but this is a bit harsh.
It could be considered bad luck that he's missing a few first team players. It could be considered bad luck that he inherited such a mess.
Maybe the crowd forced the changes or maybe it was the fact that he was two down.
To me, it looks like he rested players v OL as he knew he needed a win here, and he got a win. That was a decent calculation as the EL was beyond us anyway.
I haven't loved his selections but he's getting to know the squad and players, hard to judge after 4 games.
I think we showed more second half fight in the Chelsea/Leicester/Watford games that we did in most of Koemans games this season.
Any new manager is going to need a few games to bed in, Unsworth has already had them. I'd give him till Jan.
We don’t have the luxury of giving him time to find his team.

We’ve been atrociously bad in every game he has managed, bar 20 minutes against Watford at home.

He will continue to play his mate, Rooney, no matter how bad he is.

Unsworth is a risk the majority of Everton fans do not want to take. Go have a look at the poll in the other thread.

One big positive. We have an absolutely massive squad.

..... As long as Baines doesn't get injured.

I think you'll find that's nonsense. Read @Abraders post again and think about what killing off teams means.

People use the fact that Lukaku often didn't score the first goal as a stick to beat him with, which may be true.

However by scoring goals two and three, it took the pressure off us and put it back onto the other team.

This then allowed us to play proper footy, rather than panicky hoof ball.

Imagine this lot now with a one goal lead, just playing deeper and deeper, trying to protect the lead, until the inevitable happens.

He clearly doesn't understand football.

Is he one of Walsh's stats guys that think football works like that.

He also changed the wording to say goals. I said Lukaku. I never mentioned anything about goals.

That is not what I said. Refer back to @ClausThomsen

It's like the Neuer stat that says Guardiola's Bayern side could have played without a keeper as statistically they could have conceded every single on target shot they faced and still won the leagueor something like that.

The reality is that without a keeper the other sides would have took potshots from all over the place and the Bayern defence would not have had the option of utilising a very good sweeper keeper as an option to pass to when under pressure.

When the majority of Everton fans think we can get either Tuchel or Ancelotti then that doesn't say much for the majority of Everton fans.

What does a bit of time mean exactly ? One more game - 5 more?
Who exactly would you take right this moment since waiting is not an option for you?

Realistically the managers who currently have teams will probably not leave within one week. Probably not even five.

The managers who do not have teams are mostly very disappointing.
