Who exactly would you take right this moment since waiting is not an option for you?

Realistically the managers who currently have teams will probably not leave within one week. Probably not even five.

The managers who do not have teams are mostly very disappointing.
I'd go for Allardyce as I think at the moment we are 50/50 to go down and I think Allardyce reduces that prospect to about 65/35 in our favour.

To be fair I have absolutely no idea who would be a good choice at the present time.

Out of all managers mentioned, bar Diego, there are glaring weaknesses or negatives for each of them.

It was luck that Unsworth got one win, nothing more.

Watford lost their goalkeeper, CB, had no Troy Deeney and missed a pen.

His team selection was atrocious and the subs were forced by the crowd.

The man is nowhere near a top level manager. He would take us down, I’m confident of it.
Luck is what we needed he has been trying to polish at Utd with the squad of no 10s Koeman left him!

Be interesting to know peoples opinions if it was realistically down to Unsworth or Allardyce, with other options ruled out in the short-term.

Does that merit a 2.5 year contract for Sam on the basis it offers a greater degree of protection against disaster? Leaving all other concerns aside. Stick or twist?

Boiled down to that, it may be what the board have been debating today.

Make your mind up Kevin, twas but a short while ago you said ...

You're as indecisive as my missus trying shoes on ffs !
I'm extremely dissapointed by this decision which looks very likely now. Moshiri wants the cheap option, ignore the bs about the likes of Simeone he is now showing his true colours here and will happily send us down the leagues Venky style.

I can't stand how it's the same old names being bandied around. It may have been ignorance on my half, in fact it certainly was, but I really wasn't aware of Mauricio Pochettino as a manager before Southampton brought him in. Why is there this attitude that there are no decent managers available?

There must be hundreds of managers all round the world currently doing a fine job at their respective clubs who would jump at the chance. I'd like to think a top flight club in the richest league in the world would be able to cast it's net a little further than Big Sam or Unsworth.
