Love how are fans bash the board every single day when they don't actually know what's going on.It's the same as the hourly fume in the transfer window in the summer. Why are you all so needy?

We're needy, cos we are genuinely actually gash. Proper gash.
It's an international window, the perfect time to sort it.
Moyes would have been beasting West Ham lads already.
What are we doing ?
Putting a few cones out and passing drills no doubt.

Then again theres about 7-8 players left at finch farm at most from the senior players, the main advantage of appointing during the international break is so the bloke can move and get to know the staff etc who are still around, not really about training with a handful of players - most of whom usually aren't amongst the better players

from our squad who exactly is there until mid next week ?

Baines, Jagielka, Lennon, Schneiderlin and struggling to think of who else

...not sure Niasse is a call up, Davies has been sent home.

But this is a still a much better time for a manager to come in and get settled in his new environment before those players come back surely?!

Training with the players is only part of it. This time would give the new manager time to find a new place to live and everything that goes with that(if needed), sort backroom staff out, crikey, set his bloody desk up how he likes it.
Surely better to do all that now rather than during the season when training and game prep absolutely has to take priority.

We won't agree here mate.
No probs.

...Silva very much favourite now.
That is definitely an interesting switch in prices the last 24/48 hours. The odds have come in across the board by some margin.

As others have said, Allardyce was heavy odds on a few days ago but that was clearly on the back of multiple press reports that he was in talks with the club. The odds often reflect media speculation and the same happened with Dyche early doors.

What makes the Silva odds drop interesting is that it’s come on the back of nothing. No media speculation anywhere over the last few days that could explain the sudden shift.

Interesting..

I would say that the consensus on the guy is that there is a great deal of potential within him.
His demeanour whilst at Hull last year and his progress this year says as much. He certainly wouldn't be the worst option.

Cheers Tommy..sounds like a reasonable option then :)

I've been convinced since Koeman left that if the choice were between Unsworth, Allardyce, Dyche or Silva, Silva would be my choice based on what appears to be his potential for tactical progressiveness, and he also seems to add a bit of energy and passion into his teams.
