Im not disputing why its taking so long, im not somebody thats demanding we employ somebody anytime soon, the Watford win gave us "wiggle room", a defeat there and it really would have been crisis time and im convinced that Big Sam would already be in, hence why I think we dangled and then dropped after Watford.
I agree again. We kept Roberto a few too long and we did the same with Koeman but the season had started and maybe it would've been more difficult right at the beginning. We are where we are but we do need to be patient

We are in for a tough game, I said that. I've been saying it since pre season actually, that this team was not capable of winning any game easily, so you're preaching to the converted. I just don't see the need to suggest that this particular game will be incredibly difficult, when the reality is they really are the worst team in the league.

I'm just dealing in facts here, saying that a side which is bottom of the league and has one point from their last three games cannot really be said to have 'improved massively' and be on an 'upward curve compared to ours' when we actually got 75% of the points they have for the whole season in our last game. That is the very definition of being overly dramatic. I'm not sure you even quite understand the concept of form if I'm honest, seeing as you're suggesting Newcastle are in good form when they've only won one of their last six games, against...Palace.

There's plenty for us to be negative about without people going out of their way to be doom mongers.

You mean Newcastle who at the time they beat Palace, only lost one game in their last 6? Winning 3, drawing 2? Don't know about you but I'd say that was decent form.

But if you like taking things out of context, go ahead.

And my view comes from actually watching Palace in their last two games rather than looking at scorelines

They didn't fold against West Ham and fought back. And they should've got a result against a Spurs side on the back of smashing Real Madrid at home (Zaha missing an open net and they made more clear cut chances).

The point being, if Unsworth turns up like he did against Leicester and going for an attacking line up, the way Palace are playing right now in terms of building confidence and improving, we'll lose.

That's not doom mongering, that's just an opinion after looking at how they played against Spurs away...and how we played at home against Watford

Think maybe you're drawing a lot into a game they actually lost at Spurs mate, given as you say spurs had just come from their biggest and most important game in about 30 years going into the palace game.

They came back well against west Ham from 2-0 down, but consider that they went 2-0 down to a West Ham side that has been absolutely atrocious this season - worse even than us btw.

Since the palace game Newcastle have gone on to back to back losses against Burnley and Bournemouth btw and have had a ridiculously easy fixture list so far as well

Well...fine. 3.0 to Everton.

Everton need to keep it tight against Palace, man-to-man mark Zaha , frustrate the home fans and then pick off low-on-confidence opponents on the counter-attack.

Maybe a bit negative but more likely to earn a 1-0 or 2-0 win.

Indeed.

Spurs were emotionally and physically drained after playing Madrid and still hadn’t come back down to Earth.

I think that was a big factor in the game being so close.

18 months ago “ambitious Everton” we are aiming for top four and titles.. I’d never have dreamt we’d be after Big Sam..

But what’s worse is he’s now actually turned us down. You couldn’t write it haha!
