Gotta get allardyce in. As fans right now we have to admit it's not what we want but what we need. Allardyce will want the two years because he wants the money for two years, but he really only wants the job for 6 months. Get him in and then finish around 10th. Stabilize the club then get dyche or silva in the summer on a two year deal and keep us around that top 6 until simeone's contract runs out at atletico. Think either dyche or silva both make sense as the squad they build can be used by simeone in the future in a tactical sense (dyche with organization and set piece skills we desperately need and silva with the counterattacking style that Simeone plays) Need a manager like allardyce right now that'll get this shitehouse of a squad in check. Wishful thinking that we'll get simeone in the future but we have to focus on now more than anything. Get big sam in. And if you're gonna moan about big sam have a chat with yourself. If we don't get someone like a relegation specialist in then we are going down. Face it

Whoever the manager is, if they possibly do anything with this squad, needs to start with the defence obviously.

Hilarious that our defending is infinitely worse now than it ever was under martinez, and we have absolutely 0 attacking threat to back it up.

Everton has to give up Marco Silva ... This situation seems desperate ... The reputation of the club comes down with all this situation. It seems like there are no more coaches in the world .. I really like Marco, but he does not leave Watford right now ... Do they need to complain to FIFA? This is all pathetic ...

Everton has to target another coach.

Totall agree with this and to be straight if the shoe was on the other foot and someone bigger than use like Derby etc... (sorry Chelsea) was courting our manager the way we have been with Silva we would be up in arms probably looking for the FA to intervene, let's get someone for the short term or long term that's unattached, sill save 12-15mil right away before wages even and end this s***show once and for all.

I'm of the opinion that we don't need a firefighter type of manager. On paper, our squad is miles better than a lot of teams in the league.

Its clear that the players never really bought into Koeman. Throw in the lack of pre-season, too many new additions, Europa qualifiers and facing the top 5 teams at the start of the season, and we have a recipe for disaster.

The teams confidence took a hammering, and Koeman lost the plot.

Unsworth is out of his depth and this team remain rudderless and short on confidence.

With a decent manager in place, this team is capable of big improvements. It is just criminal that we still haven't replaced Koeman. Allowing Unsy this long at the helm is criminal.

So there is no need for firefighter, just a good manager. AVB or Silva would sort us out.

I'd personally argue our pre season was more proper, having to play competitive games and that due to the Europa...

Whoever it is they must get them in this week, it's gone beyond the critical stage for me. The players look genuinely confused and ruderless. You need someone to install belief and confidence into them and to be drilling that back four. It hurts to see us in this sorry state.

I'd agree, if we hadn't needed to blood so many new players. Trying to blend new players into the system with very little time on the training pitch was a huge ask, and a huge mistake on Koemans behalf.

I honestly believe this team is in a false position. As I alluded to in my previous post, not bringing in a manager sooner and allowing the situation to fester and stagnate is bloody criminal. The board are fully accountable. I actually feel sorry for the players. The mismanagement from the previous manager and the board is shocking.

They SHOULD be in tomorrow, but the way things are being run at the min means they probably won't be until after these next 2 games. From the Atalanta game onwards to the 3 fixtures following were a nice run for a new manager to get bedded in, assess his team and get some points on the board. Instead the board are persisting with an out of depth Unsworth who the team have downed tools on because they know he won't be the boss permanently. Unsworth more or less asked to be relieved from his position as manager in his interview after the match today when he said something along the lines of "the board need to act and appoint someone now". Joke.

Right I've had it, just give it to Pulis til the end of the season, just get it done quick. I just couldnt stomach Allardyce, I just couldnt lower myself down to that, I'd rather go down than have that cretin at our club, Pulis is slightly more tolerable, even though he is a major..cannot think of a clean word

Big Sam is a tosser, but he's a tosser who would keep us up.

Koeman biggest mistake in the summer was not investing enough in the defence. Losing Coleman and Funes Mori to long term injuries didn’t help either. However, Koeman thought relying on an aging Jagielka and Williams alongside Keane would be of been suffice. Not having a backup for Baines has been criminal. Sending out Galloway and not using Garbutt is outright absurd.
