I think the football world still thinks we are skint and are still owned by Kenwright so cant understand why Koeman would want to leave a team who has just had an excellent season, an improvememt on the previous season and European football to come here. So I can kind of understand the thinking.

If/when we start splashing the cash we will be taken more seriously.

If we start winning regularly, that should turn heads already. I don't believe we need to burn cash like Abramovich, but the ability to resist selling our best players would be a great statement on top of a winning culture.

I'm meh about Koeman, my eyes set on the more untouchables like Emery (dare some say even Simeone). FDB looks primed to take the position but I hope the delays mean other candidates get a shout too. Had we sacked Martinez in October, I would have taken anyone from Favre, Garcia and perhaps Mourinho (even Klopp if timing worked out), but we have all the time in the world now, we should take our time and do it right.

If people are worried about players leaving because we don't have a manager yet, let's remember that this is a horrible season for a team tipped for Europe. Only Lukaku dared to make noise about leaving and he has not proven he is UCL quality in the way he gave up end of the season. We can easily convince other players to stay with a quality hire, a well defined roadmap and a cleaned up management structure. It won't happen in 1 day, or week or month. The change will take months if not years, so fret not over the silence over our managerial candidates.

Hopefully, we'll hire the best of what we can find out there.

I also encounter a number of these types too as I work in different places across the country. The issue though is a real lack of knowledge football in general from them they tend to be sky sports news fanatics who read the daily Mirror/daily mail & have never stepped foot on a forum such as this.

I can count on one hand the number of times I read a mainstream football article & feel like i learnt something so much of it is utter drivel conversely there are so many excellent blogs fan sites such as this & stats sites to read & learn from that I don't tend to subscribe to sky sports news info or daily newspaper websites.

Anyway back to my point anyone who understands modern football needs to look no further than this Koeman is currently paid £2.3 million & is the 20th highest paid manager in the world we will most likely offer up to £5 million it really ends there if Southampton won't match it he comes he seriously won't risk missing out on this for a pipe dream of Arsenal in 12 months unless it is already signed & sealed but last reports indicated kroenke to offer we get new deal
Agreed....but could you pick some full stops up when you nip out for your paper in the morning.

And yet people want David Moyes to return as the next Manager mate?
Yeah I no madness didn't he say "I have taken Everton as far as I can" after he left.

Didn't us supporters on here say it's time for change we stagnated under Moyes! So why does people want him back yes he was good for us but also we where good for him.
He left us insulted us ridiculous bids for our players in which worked better for us but wow how can any Everton fan want him back in a managing capacity I don't understand.

• If Moyes came back and was giving the reported £100million to spend where does he start?

• Would we play hoof ball again

• Would we be over achieving getting into 7th again

Over 1200 voted for him. He's in the poll for next Everton manager based on this. What is the reasoning, justification? Excluding as a Director of Football, Defensive Coach, Scout etc... Why would you like to see David Moyes return as manager of Everton Football Club?

I'll put my cards on the table, I see no value, no future, no sense in a return and no way Moshiri would hire him. State your case, putting the gauntlet down here fellow Blues, there's a significant number who disagree. I'd like to hear the argument and tell me why I'm wrong.

Sorry mate I just can't stomach it. Thankfully our new owner has more ambition than some of the supporter base, who are living in a cocoon.
