How boss is this when Evertonians are arguing over:

Pellegrini
De Boer
Koeman
Emery

being our next manager. I remember convincing myself Martinez was a great appointment because he'd managed to win the FA Cup with a poor team. Now i don't even have to convince myself with any of these 4 names.

Knowing us the list will end up looking like this:

Moyes
Hughes
Howe
Pullis.

I agree with all you have said except for the line about building teams! I dont think he built City in any way, shape or form? Whether he was responsible for the new signings i dont know? But even so, most of the players that came in during his tenure actually went backwards! When Sterling went there he was tearing defences apart, after half a season, he looked like a ghost of the player he was with the RS!
Backwards ? DeBruyne & Iheanacho certainly didnt.

Sterling was on the decline at liverpool , thats why everyone was so shocked at the massive fee for him.

He had big injury problems in the last season coupled with the Pep nonsense he done remarkably well.

Big respect when Joe Hart was taken out of the spotlight when having a bad time . If Martinez had done the same with Howard who knows
we may not even be looking for a new manager now. Top Coach Pellegrini make no mistake.....I voted Emery btw.

How can you say he was a 'much younger man' at Malaga, it was only 3 years ago or do you work in dog years? He did brilliantly in Spain and was only given one season with Real because Barca pipped them after he'd amassed a record points tally. I don't think it's entirely fair to judge him on this season because of all the shenanigans, but it's worth noting that despite the fact he was undermined by the board, he still appears to have retained the support of his staff and players. I think he would be a great appointment for us.

I suppose that was more in relation to Villareal. Yes the board have messed him about somewhat, but the rot had already set in well before that was the case. In may have accelerated it but it was not the route cause. He has finished level on points with LVG and not won one of the top honours like LVG has this season. LVG was also plagued by instability. Yet LVG has been sacked and so would Pellegrini had he not walked.

His time at City has been underwhelming, particularly the last 2 years. At 62 he is too old for us and would be a big mistake.
