The difference between us and sides that had a flying Rooney/Ronaldo, Thierry/Viera, Gerrard/Torres through out his stewardship is palpable compared to the now. The difference between the top 4 clubs and the rest decreased due to finances, Man Utd thought it was due partly due Moyes's stewardship and hired him. They were wrong, Man Utd were gonna likely fall on their arse regardless, and despite some ill feelings to Moyes from myself, they'd of benefited from them keeping him another season.
He took the champions of England by a clear 11 points and sent them back to the 1970s.

If they'd have kept Moyes they'd have been a complete laughing stock.

He's gone from Everton and been sacked twice because he's hopeless.

The whole football industry in this country had us pegged as a direct football team. Overwhelmingly a correct description. Our signature move was to get to the halfway line and punt it 40 yards to Fellaini or Cahill and then challenge for the second ball.

Scientific it was not.

Moyes earned Everton the agricultural tag. He was not Everton class.

So if the whole industry including the media are calling Everton massively disappointing and massive underachievers, and lacking some crucial traits would you agree them?

The whole industry agrees you know. Personally I feel you are making Moyes seem worse than he was just so you can protect Martinez.

The whole industry currently sees us as a great football playing team that are having an uneven season.

Even today David Moyes would have continued to quash expectation. It's a personality trait that his teams also showcase: let the opponents have it and lets see what we can do about it.

Wba had more possession than Utd at old Trafford. West Brom.

He was a fantastic manager for us but his attitude towards us created the glass ceiling as much as any financial constraints after the first 5 years.

Is Martinez not doing the same thing now effectively abandoning the possession game for counterattacking? At home we played on the front foot under Moyes, we don't under Martinez, we sit back and wait for the counter which is why we concede so many from crosses.

That team he inherited was dirge bar a few players. They last won the league because better teams fell over each other in a who can be the crappest contest kinda similar to City/Arsenal ect this year. They won because the manager was Ferguson. Inconvenient truth.

Whats this, boss?

They all see us as easy to suss out, without any killer instinct. They were saying we were better than the table suggested around Christmastime. I haven't heard anyone write or say that since.

You can call it what you like, but it got results with a bang average team.

This 'total-football' that we're playing - with a much better set of players - is overwhelmingly crappy. There has been no improvement in a year and a half.

Well done! Blue Peter badge winging it's way to you right now..

You don't know what you are talking about.
If you don't like our moaning Evertonian ways, and you think demanding a top half finish means we have delusions of entitlement, then I suggest that you go and select another random club to follow, because Everton have always been like that, and they probably always will be.

This has to stop on here. I've noticed these uncalled for digs at our American supporters telling to choose another club or implying they're not proper supporters or that they don't get it.

On the whole they show better perception than most.

I'm sure @GrandOldTeam would be delighted at you trying to ridicule a big market of blues that visit this website and always have.
