Roberto has performed miracles, and anybody who disagrees can do one. I mean, name me one other manager who, with ...

... the best full back pairing in the league
... England's and one of Europe's finest up-and-coming centre backs
... an Argentine international centre back
... one of England's finest up-and-coming central midfielders
... a flying Spanish winger who Barcelona insisted on having a buy-back clause in the deal
... the best young striker in Europe who could walk into nearly any other team

all playing alongside trusty players such as Jagielka, Barry, McCarthy, Mirallas ...

could finish in the bottom half of the Premier League and lose more than half of their home games and constantly be booed from the field?

Miracle maker!

Beyond home form, it's all good. Which is why he'll be given a war chest in the summer to strengthen.

Hope you are right.

Apparently cash is there. Kenwright has his "great manager". I'd say that anything achieved in the cup this season will merely cement the matter.

Strange things happen in football though (and I'd class his dismissal as strange in the real world - not in echo chambers like this, of course). Maybe Moshiri wants someone in. If so, he better get his decision right because for all the whining about Martinez's last two campaigns there's no guarantee that a club stays in this division.

Home form is half of the season though mate. It hasn't even approached good enough, we are on course for our worst home record in our entire history.

Aye. For the other thread really, soz mods, but wish him no ill will, and would like nothing more than him sorting it.

The words "Eddie" and "Howe" are not in any solution to a problem we have.

The feller comes across like he was grown in a test tube with 'professional football manager' on the label. Utterly devoid of all character as fas as I can discern.

Superbly talented young manager. Maybe a little to early for us (and if I was him I'd stay at Bournemouth for a while). Watch him achieve in years to come.

Yes this season has defo exercised the mind on that.

I'm sure Roberto Martinez understands that last point.

I dont defend it. I'm saying (correctly) it's not the majority of the season. The season is the Pl programme and the cups. Tell me we've not had a very decent season when you factor in ALL competitions.

It;s getting ridiculous. I feel sorry for that team as much as the manager: they claw their way to the latter stages of tournaments and to wembley in one instance and they're given zero credit for it by some. The aftermath of the Chelsea game though showed what a massive ignition these cups can be to a club.

Hes fine where he is. He'll never win a bean, but good luck to the lad. He's enjoying himself for a couple of seasons.

We haven't had a decent season, but we still have the potential to have one depending how the next 180 minutes go at Wembley, as for the ignition of Chelsea the following game was one of the worse I have seen at Goodison for a long time.
