Apparently cash is there. Kenwright has his "great manager". I'd say that anything achieved in the cup this season will merely cement the matter.

Strange things happen in football though (and I'd class his dismissal as strange in the real world - not in echo chambers like this, of course). Maybe Moshiri wants someone in. If so, he better get his decision right because for all the whining about Martinez's last two campaigns there's no guarantee that a club stays in this division.

Couldn't agree more, Martinez has shown that by being relegated with his last team already

Winning the FA Cup will be fantastic, but do you think Wigan fans would swap that for still being in the Premier League? Or even The Championship?

I think they would, I wouldnt for Everton but for such a small club with a short history its something great for them, but for us the drop and the cup would be the worse season ever.

But what have we been told in this thread? We're all too demanding- expecting to challenge for European places, but also in the same breath we have to be 'Everton class' as our history dictates it.

I'm not sure between those two, I'd have either. I'm just surprised to see blues turning their nose up at Pellegrini. He's in the top bracket that we can realistically aim for I'd say, and he's nowhere near as bad defensively as some are making out.

Would you not say the team he has should be better than they currently are?
