Moyes is just arse licking kenwright, I'm not worried. He ain't getting the job. I'm surprised Kenwright gives him time of day. I bet he wouldn't have been there at the boxing if he was still at Man Utd. Emery will be the man I'm convinced. Head and shoulders above the others for me. Hopefully be ours within a week. Up the blues. Was a great atmosphere at goodison tonight.

I'm counting the days when I never have to see both of them at Goodison again.

He should have taken the Villa job
Has made his belief in himself to be a CL level Manager clear mate.

David Moyes was pictured sharing a box with Everton chairman Bill Kenwright at Goodison Park on Sunday night, adding to speculation the former manager may be set for a return to Merseyside.

Moyes was among the guests ringside as Tony Bellew overcame a first-round knock-down to defeat Ilunga Makabu and become WBC world cruiserweight champion at the home of the Blues.

In what was a joyous occasion for Everton supporters present to witness their local hero claim the vacant title, the home crowd's delight was somewhat tempered by the sight of their former manager back in the stadium.

Moyes enjoyed 11 years in the Goodison hotseat, finishing in the top eight of the Premier League on nine occasions, and the 53-year-old has been interviewed over the vacant managerial position at the club.

The former Manchester United manager was an animated observer as Bellew became a world champion for the first time, and while some Everton fans have expressed their disapproval at his potential return, Moyes could yet emerge as Roberto Martinez's successor.

The main alternative is former Ajax manager Frank de Boer who is highly-regarded in the game for his meticulous attention to detail but Moyes is interested in returning to Goodison Park having left the club in 2013.

De Boer remains favourite for the position, having departed Ajax at the end of the season shortly after failing to clinch the Eredivisie title, while Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has distanced himself from the vacancy.

Kenwright is on the look-out for a new manager but his search was put on hold as he supported Bellew

Sportsmail reported on Sunday that Everton are making reference checks on Manuel Pellegrini before deciding if he is tough enough to restore discipline to the Goodison Park dressing-room, but Moyes' presence with Kenwright underlined the affinity they still have for one another.

Moyes was not without big-money signings during his time in charge, but the fresh investment coming from new majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is no doubt something that will appeal to a man who seemed to hit a glass ceiling at the club towards the end of his tenure.

Having dismissed Martinez before the final game of the season, it is believed the club now want a change of culture and decisive style of management which is why Moyes has been interviewed despite his unpopularity with supporters.

Bellew was cheered on by the Goodison Park faithful as he became WBC world cruiserweight champion

Sections of Everton fans were unhappy at the way Moyes left for United, but Kenwright enjoyed an excellent working relationship with him between 2002 and 2013.

Moyes ruled himself out of the running for the Aston Villa job last week despite being offered the role after holding numerous talks with the Midlands club.

It is believed the former Preston manager wants to wait for a Premier League opportunity, and his presence back at Goodison on Sunday night certainly adds fuel to the fire that he could be about to make a sensational comeback.

This article adds further weight to what I've suggested. Moyes has been interviewed and, I believe, is towards the bottom of the list. It won't happen unless several others reject us so it's highly unlikely but not impossible.

The Esk: Back to reality and re Moyes, he wasn't interviewed, he's not nor ever was on any list, and he won't be our next manager, nor likely ever to be Everton manager ever again.

With respect to @The Esk I've concluded he's v smart, a passionate Evertonian, honest and has genuine inside info, I'm guessing someone who works in financials with EFC. He uses this info and his own reasoning to keep us informed for which I'm v grateful.
However this info, or his interpretation of it, won't always be accurate and he's incentivised to allay our fears. On balance, my interpretation is that DM has been interviewed and is on the list though towards the bottom. Ambitious Moshiri wants a name so will try to lure several others before DM who's a fall back option in the v unlikely event we get knocked back by everyone else. I predict he won't be our manager but it's not mpossible in my opinion.

Threads like these reveal that there basically 8 kinds of people on the forum. Read every single post and they'll fit into one of these categories:

1. Old school forum heads - They know who is ITK and who is bluffing. They have seen this all before and contribute regularly with either relevant information, gallows humour or off-topic nonsense.

2. The "ITK" - contributing every 100 pages or so with a flurry of exciting titbits which then generate huge chatter, questions and either thanks or derision. Usually bull, occasionally on the money.

3. The CBA - someone who knows something interesting has occurred on the thread but can't be arsed to read any of the 34000 pages to find where it is. Check their post history, they'll have about 6 posts ever, all of them saying things like, "Just back from holiday*. Anyone update me what's happened? Cheers lads".

*they haven't.

4. The witty joker - Contributing sparsely with a joke which has normally been exhausted around 4,786 pages ago. Things like, "Bills probably too busy trying to locate the Arteta money to look for a manager. Am I right??! Lolololol"

5. The doom merchant - it doesn't matter what the situation is or how long it's been going on, but they're worried. Really worried. Whatever is going on, it's bad and we're getting relegated.

6. The football hipster - again, regardless of the topic, they'll be able to write 7 paragraphs about it and include an expert opinion based on something someone did in German 2ND division.

7. The opposition fan - they come on peace and start of by saying something nice about Everton before being really condescending.

8. People who make lists for no apparent reason.

Enjoyed this.
