Would be amazed if De Boer made it as far into the discussion as Pellegrini, imagine he was ruled out fairly early on - hence the very public come and get me (or my brother) from RDB.

Moshiri must have heard the right noises from Emery/Koeman/others who seem to be on a higher level to De Boer/Pellegrini etc. that's led him to move on from that.

Interesting that Koeman had a contract extension (improvement) rushed onto the table when Jose left Chelsea which he refused to sign , saying he would wait until the summer. One of the reasons put forward for the delay to the summer was to do with loosing players and a powerful strategy to move Southampton on. 1 week into his contract talk that was quote "going very well" (les reed) exec director, and we still don't have news from the south coast.

If we really are going to compete with the big boys.
I want someone who can walk the walk and talk the talk.
Pelligrini was up there but I have faith and whoever comes in can get us back where we belong...la de da de da

If we got Moyes back what do you think the reaction of the fans would be? It could be the first time ever there is banners/protests about a manager before he's even managed a game. I personally would be done with them.

If the fans do that might as well forget the season right now. If he got the job, it would be because everyone else had turned us down. Might as well get behind the team.

also as for managing real madrid, and barcelona you don't really have to 'gee' up those players at all, they are all for the most part self-motivating winners, who can get themselves up for big occasions and matches, hence why they are at top clubs, at that level it's more about managing players ego's, and mentalities, which is why his 'grandfather' type approach of management works at that type of club, it's a completely different kettle of fish here with respect @ijjysmith
