You, @jceverton and a few others - as I said 'bar a few members'.

Since the final loads more jumped on - some who were back then claiming Koeman would be brilliant but now saying he's so 'meh' compared to the mighty Unai.

Once again, I think Emery is a top manager -and he'd be a very good appointment.

My doubt remains the same as it has been since his name was first mentioned - is he the manager to make the most of our young prospects?

So if he got appointed I'd be delighted, but for me Koeman is (and always has been) the ideal candidate.

Just an opinion but I do believe it's backed it up with reasoned points.

The only manager who we have been linked with that "likes" youth so far has been Frank De Boer.

Koeman has always looked to integrate Southampton's younger players.

Targett, Ward-Prowse, signed a 23-year-old Van Dijk as a key defender, and the striker (Gallagher, I believe) was given a good spell last year I think as well, I'm sure there'll be others...

It's by no means the be all and end all, because the balance needs to be right, I just think it's a factor that could/should be considered.

what?? But not long ago monchi said that Emery was important at sevilla and would stay, and now himself is leaving..
Exactly. Was only a couple of days ago that he was bigging up Emery and saying he has to stay with them them. Now he's going..

Just have to wonder with us wanting to the DOF route, whether negotiations with Emery were along the lines of "if I'm coming I want Monchi with me"

Ill admit i wasn't keen and slated him due to his away record, but the more i read about him and the more I looked at his record at Sevilla i became impressed.
