If it's followed by " and at this point we would like to welcome as new Everton Manager Eddie Howe" then that is no statement.

Exactly...when a top manager is available, within our grasp & doesn't even need to change his milk man!!! It's a no brainer for me.The replacement should be obvious in my opinion. One of the world's top managers lives down the road and will be out of contract in May. Unfortunately it won't be a surprise to see Everton show their ambition as 'one of the biggest clubs in England' and stick with Martinez for at least another year.
Steve McClaren
At the very least we must try.
At the very least we must try.
Why don't you show a bit of faith in the club?
I used this reference earlier but in the early days of the MCFC takeover they publicly went after Kaka, who was the world player of the year at the time, it was considered by many audacious to say the least, but the one thing it did say was that they as a club/ownership were for real, they've since won 5 major honours.
Why don't/can't you show the faith in our club that you have in Martinez?
Well, City and Chelsea aren't going to be options for obvious reasons. And if recent stories are to be believed, Man United might not be either. We aren't Man City/Man Utd/Chelsea rich mate. He'll choose one of them before us if he as the option you would think.
But try we must. We need to make a statement.
If we can back him financially and,as you say there is nobody challenging for the title hiring, then why not?Well, City and Chelsea aren't going to be options for obvious reasons. And if recent stories are to be believed, neither is Man United.
Obviously it's incredibly unlikely that we would get him, but if he wants to stay in England, his options are looking a little thin.
1) Because I don't think the idea would have even entered anyone's head on the boardIf we can back him financially and,as you say there is nobody challenging for the title hiring, then why not?
1) Because I don't think the idea would have even entered anyone's head on the board
2) I don't actually think Martinez would be removed
3) I'm not certain that José's ego would allow him to take such a perceived "drop" in club profile
Could make a few quid selling blue plastic dildoes outside FF,to the waiting media.Well if by some miracle we did get Jose we'd not have to worry about being ignored by the media any more. They'd be all over us like a rash.
