There's nothing to say that Emery even wants to leave Sevilla- yes, he was considering his future, but if he didn't want to move then that's not the fault of the board. Other than him, who were we really able to say we could attract? Mourinho? Always wanted the United job. Other than that I'm struggling.
Koeman's a top quality manager who will give us a great deal of stability over the next year or two. We'll be getting rid of lots of players, and he will be able to bring in good replacements along with a DoF. Some of those moaning at this were, along with me, some of Martinez's biggest critics. Koeman is nowhere in his league. Be thankful for that. We're not going to jump from two seasons of 11th to bringing in Simeone. It will take time, but this is one important step in our rebuilding. Embrace it, feel comfortable with who we have in charge, and look forward to the summer!
