I really hope we don't spunk £100m+ on players in one window. Rarely do any more than 1 or 2 of the signings come good. Then £50m+ is wasted on crap and we end up looking like all the other clubs that we prided ourselfs on not being like.

Wanyama & Ward-Prowse for me.

Wanyama is a beast of a player and the ideal replacement for Barry whilst Ward-Prowse is a 100% upgrade on McCarthy. We have Davies coming through there as well.

Tadic would be lovely on the left also.
van Dijk would be my first choice from Southampton, followed closely by Wanyama

I know it's probably not going to happen - but keeping Rom and sorting out the defence would get us close to the top four.
the thing with Rom is he can talk about being the greatest striker in the world and how he's already made his mind up blah blah blah all he wants but unless someone bids for him and more importantly meets our asking price he doesn't go anywhere.

With all our money if Koeman picks Sturridge benteke bony Carroll or another of these over rated crap epl journeymen to replace Rom then he IS the new Moyes

You would hope we'd be spending $50m upwards on a new striker

Be realistic mate. What £50m striker is gonna come to us.

fgs, we ain't gonna sign Sturridge or Carroll, or Benteke. Bony wouldn't be bad.

And it's all very well and good having the money, but that doesn't mean you can actually attract a striker worth £40million without CL football

Some terrible, poorly constructed arguments on here.

Koeman: how is he better than Martinez?

What has he won?

In conclusion of this process we've apparently been rebuffed by two winners for a 6th place trophy merchant. Nothing will go forward. There is nothing to look forward to. This is what Everton is confined to.

Let's just change our motto from Nil Satis to Nih Ilism and be done :(
