van Dijk would be my first choice from Southampton, followed closely by Wanyama
I hope we are not going to see a repeat of Bobby bringing half his Wigan team to Goodison.

If Koeman under performs the. He will be out after a suitable period, the same way Martinez was. This is the new world.
Every manager has a dodgy period at some clubs, but Koeman's recent form in the prem has seen him put together a team that is defensively one of the best and since January this year has one of the best form records out of anyone. Are these not indicators that he might be able to crack a very fluid top 4 given better players? For a club who have finished 11th twice with no European football is is a coup (no pun intended)
How many 90 minutes did those lot get all season though? The kids can play the minutes they used up last season easily. Still need some squad players but not tons.
Not really, how many of them actually played last year or had any impact. Coming in/back we have Garbutt, Dowell, Pennington, Galloway, Browning, Holgate to name a but a few. We certainly need numbers thats for sure but most of those listed had little to no impact on the first team last year anyway.
We could comfortably lose up to 8 players (I'm adding Niasse there and before worrying about Lukaku and Stones) but that doesn't mean we need 8 new players (I know you aren't saying that). How many of those added much to the first team match day squad on a regular basis and whom we couldn't do without?
Yes but we have a budget of like 15-20m for all those players each, vast improvement in quality coming, as I said months ago, we are going to have a boss side come August.
There was also ridicule a few days ago when I said we'd have north of 150m to spend if needed, around 200m if Lukaku goes, doesn't mean we will spend it, but it's there.
Yeah. Nothing like Arouna Kone for £12m from the big fella! If Moshiri pulls of the second part of his dream team (and who would bet against him), then it's likely that Monchi will be doing the spending. So I would seriously doubt we'd end up with a load of dross for our money!
The difference being Southampton actually have good players.I hope we are not going to see a repeat of Bobby bringing half his Wigan team to Goodison.
How can you have Cocu? you just discount the dutch league, based on the Cocu and FDB have won nothing, not even managed a teamDiscounting the dutch league koeman has been a disaster at both valencia and Benfica....been stable at southampton.
Id rather have Cocu whose won the dutch league 2ce in a row with an inferior team and been forced to play kids and took PSV to a whisker of beating Atletico.
Be realistic mate. What £50m striker is gonna come to us.

There's a bunch I wouldn't mind seeing here (not advocating signing all of them):
van Dijk
Wanyama
Tadic
Mané
Forster
Ward-Browse
Certainly a step up from Alcaraz, Koné, even Robles

He's quite comfortably the worst player in our squad, is nowhere near a "definite" starter and only got a new contract because he's a local lad.Just to point out that James Ward-Prowse is a bit crap.
We'll probably have a very different transfer policy to the last 3 years. Can't believe the negativity on here. Emery was a huge risk. Transferring his skills to the premiership was not guaranteed> Koeman is a known quantity who knows our league and will now have more money to realise his potential. What's not to like!If Moshiri pulls of the second part of his dream team (and who would bet against him), then it's likely that Monchi will be doing the spending. So I would seriously doubt we'd end up with a load of dross for our money!
