Koemans Southampton did a bit better than bobbys Wigan.
Some of them, yesIs that monchi's dealings?
Thst poll minus bilic shows how far the candidates have grown.
Good enough for me! Give him what he wants and sign him. Some of them, yes
Plenty of bargains to be had this summer as well.
Carlos bakka was linked to West ham for under 20 million. That would solve a goalscorer problem straight away.
1-- look at how ajax and psv did in the year following winning the title with the best side in holland.
2-- look at Valencia,Benfica and AZ.
3-- look at how he did at feyenoord and southampton -- probably his best two clubs....kept them stable.
4-- look at what happens when he manages top players with big egos.
5-- look at his tactical ability.....
Then compare and contrast with many other managers.
248 people wanted koeman
305 wanted FDB
800+ wanted emery
For a billionaire investor hes had a shocker here.
Bang on the money there, there's a lot of work to do before we can attract a higher calibre of manager. I fully expect Koeman to get us to that position. Not so much not "happy" as totally underwhelmed by the appointment.
Maybe it is the Martinez effect because three years ago I was genuinely excited by his appointment only to see it all turn to dust so I am more cynical now.
Someone pointed out to me last night when I was saying how flat I feel about Koeman, the City project started with them appointing Mark Hughes, himself "a proven Premier league manager with an outstanding playing pedigree" and working their way up to Pep from there.
I thought that made perfect sense and puts the Koeman deal in context.
At the moment we are not the attraction we would like to be, huge investment or not.
So we sign the best we can and hope our stock starts to rise.
The next managerial appointment at EFC after Koeman might see us able to pick fruit from a considerably higher branch on the tree.
Imagine by that time we are in the CL and playing in a beautiful new stadium by the river.
Meantime though I will wish Ronald all the best and get behind him 100%
As I imagine you and everyone else will
Some good points there mate. Not so much not "happy" as totally underwhelmed by the appointment.

The managers might have had something to do with it.So did Pochetino's Saints but fetching half their team to The Pit hadn't exactly been a roaring success
Because they bought the wrong ones. Square pegs as they say, only really Clyne was a good signing. The rest was impulse without any plan to have them in the team.So did Pochetino's Saints but fetching half their team to The Pit hadn't exactly been a roaring success
