Southampton fans can't say there are no reasons for Koeman to want to leave them for us. They can say they don't like the reasons, but to say there are none is idiotic.

Phew !Long wants him to stay at Southampton
http://www.[Publication is blacklis...3/shane-long-has-a-message-for-ronald-koeman/
Honestly?And?
On Long, before Christmas Koeman shoehorned him into a winger, with Pelle up front, after Christmas we actually played him upfront, and he got 12-13 goals in half a season, and was our best player. Good player. We want silly money for him though.
Ronald CoupmanAlthough it's not always the best way to gauge a decision, I can guarantee you that if & when this happens, you'll see every ex pro/ pundit say this is a coup for us, and I'm with them on that. One thing they share is a knowledge of professional football unlike the people outside of the game, and they'll all say it's a great appointment, im sure of it
I'm not sure if we'll even go after any of your players tbh, maybe I'm wrong but I feel like Southampton will keep their top players this summer. On Long, before Christmas Koeman shoehorned him into a winger, with Pelle up front, after Christmas we actually played him upfront, and he got 12-13 goals in half a season, and was our best player. Good player. We want silly money for him though.
My theory is that if we got Jose fans would want Pep, if we got Pep they'd want Jose.....ad finitum. Everton meffs that.Thought the same myself to be honest. Next step to beat arsenal to the punch with some of their transfer targets with moshiri's millions.
Is right Bry...JOSE should have been well onboard, don't understand it meself, y'know, how he could possibly not want to be involved in a vanity project like ours would have been to him, with little us, gross underachievers that we are. Fool to himself going to that there MAN UTD's.
And as for EMERY KB'ing us (allegedly)...what an utter whelk he turned out to be eh, setting the world on fire with his three tin-cups, his fair-to-middling league form and his little money-MUNCHKIN upstairs....
And so it leaves us with RON, the pumpkin-headed, hugely decorated ex-player that he is, with the been-there-done-it-bought-the-bra-AND-thet-shirt credentials and a stock that's very much on the up...courted too, it seems, and ear-marked for much bigger jobs in the future an' stuff as well...and here he is, on the verge of joining us...crap innit mate.
Especially when we could have had Gary Monk or Owen Coyle...or even that FREDDIE STARR fella just sacked from LEEDS.
Anyway...
A) Wasn't
B) Was
C) Mate, y'know what '...but for us'...thing is right...we're just not - as the kids say - 'all that'.
It'll be a fine appointment, support it, enjoy it, embrace the change...
To repeat, if RON was/is the MOSH's 1st choice from the outset (and I firmly believe he was) then it seems he's gonna - and quite stubbornly - get his man. Tell me that doesn't bode well for the future? A billionaire owner intent on getting what he wants...
BINGO.

Bloody hell!To me reading most posts here and on Twitter and following @the esk test ac It seems that Koeman has been the no1 full stop. It's now time for some people to be realistic. We are not in the same money league as City Utd or Chelski. We are also catching up on other teams. No matter who came in as manager for the upcoming season a top 6 finish should be classed as success. Be under no illusions we were never getting Jose Pep Diego or anyone in that category. Koeman is not in their league but is still a major upgrade. It's time for everyone who loves our club to support the new Manager and Owner.
I agree, but you can also understand why they are confused why he might move.Southampton fans can't say there are no reasons for Koeman to want to leave them for us. They can say they don't like the reasons, but to say there are none is idiotic.
I'm intrigued to see who you sign. I think this summer it might be quite hard to sign big players. The Euro's will delay a lot of the best players moving, and create a bottleneck where there is limited supply and huge demand.Mate we're drinking in all the best bars now, not bargain booze with vouchers like you lads
My money buys tickets for games, buys Everton merchandise etc.
Doesn't matter if it's not my money though, £7m a year is jaw dropping, and a piss take, because he's not worth £7m.
