To me reading most posts here and on Twitter and following @the esk test ac It seems that Koeman has been the no1 full stop. It's now time for some people to be realistic. We are not in the same money league as City Utd or Chelski. We are also catching up on other teams. No matter who came in as manager for the upcoming season a top 6 finish should be classed as success. Be under no illusions we were never getting Jose Pep Diego or anyone in that category. Koeman is not in their league but is still a major upgrade. It's time for everyone who loves our club to support the new Manager and Owner.
Well said, mate

Twitter followers hahahahaha sky you utter blerts

What even is this. Might as well have stats like:

VOWELS
NUMBER OF STRIPES ON SHIRT
CHIPPYS WITHIN 1KM OF GROUND
YELLOW CARDS IN 2000-2001

Everton are a massively bigger club than Southampton mate. The only person I've heard suggest otherwise is that utter pleb Ray Wilkins.

We have 9 titles, countless cups, fans all around every part of the UK and Ireland, the most years of top flight football in England and you won't find Everton languishing in an empty stadium in the third tier.

We should be contending for titles. We would be if it weren't for the systematic destruction of our club by our greedy, unambitious, self satisfying last couple of owners. I like Southampton as a club but we can offer him things that you cannot. This club needs to return to where it always was.

Now that's a post. Well done Sir

I'm not angry about the lack of loyalty he's shown to Southampton. If he does leave us, it'll be because he's horrid and been fired or he's been great and has lead us to greener pastures and has been offered the Barca job.
Not singling you out but I am reading a lot of this.

Barcelona isn't offering Koeman diddly unless he wins a Europa or CL title.
Let's all take a reality pill shall we?

He may be all we can attract at the minute with our standing as a club, but he is no top end Manager.

Say's who?. He's a top manager thats already contracted to a club thats got european football next season. We finished in the bottom half of the league, so how exactly elese was gonna temp a top manager.? If he had gone to Arsenal and they where paying him £7m no one would bat an eyelid.

It's all about opinions mate, £7m a year is top manager wages, and Koeman isn't a top manager, he's a good manager.

If he does come to us, he'll get my backing 100%, and hopefully convince me he's worth them wages.

At the end of the day though, we could be disagreeing on something that actually isn't true, because it's only the media putting out the £7m a year wages.

You are a bigger club, and can you can offer him things that Saints can't, but that doesn't change the fact you have to overhaul your squad, which is not a easy thing to do, even with a lot of money, look at Liverpool, United and Newcastle.

In pure footballing terms, I'd argue that the Saints squad is stronger than Everton's at the moment. After your summer of investment this might change, but Koeman is taking a risk saying that I am the man for the big overhaul, it's high risk high reward, and you can understand why some people would see it as a risk not worth taking for Koeman.
