Not Bielsa then

Everton have not approached Marcelo Bielsa about replacing Roberto Martinez

Reports that Everton have sounded out ex Chile national manager are untrue

Marcelo Bielsa
Everton have not approached former Chile manager Marcelo Bielsa about potentially becoming their manager contrary to reports over the weekend.

The Brazilian edition of Goal.com claimed yesterday that a Blues representative has sounded out the 60-year-old, who is keen to manage in England after quitting Marseille just one game into this season's French league following disagreements with the board.

But it is believed that the story has been generated by people close to the ex Chile manager, who has also coached Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao, and is untrue.

Pressure is growing on Roberto Martinez after his side dropped to 14th in the Premier League table following their 1-1 draw at Watford on Saturday.

Before kick off some fans in the away end at Vicarage Road produced a banner calling for his dismissal .

But little is known about the Everton hierarchy's thoughts on the team's struggling form in the League this term.

New investor Farhad Moshiri has not been made available for interview, and Bill Kenwright last spoke about the Catalan following the FA Cup quarter final win over Chelsea in March.

Speaking after the 2-0 triumph, Kenwright said: "You know what I thought today - 'What a manager', that's what I thought.

"You cant hide the fact there's been odd bits of criticism this week but he's just stood firm and beaten Chelsea with some to spare."

I've already decided (based on absolutely no knowledge & information) that I desperately want Bielsa if Martinez gets the sack.

Guy sounds eccentric but also like he won't take any of this unmotivated, lethargic crap we're seeing right now.

We need a manager that is capable of sticking a rocket up their backsides at half time.

Why not remove Michael Laudrup and replace him with Martin O'Neil while you are there?

O'Neill will be preparing for the European Championships though. Laudrup is not currently employed and could do a caretaker role straight away. A winner as a player and Manager, wouldn't be the worse choice.

Oh Mooms. About 10 minutes ago they did a piece about how he hasn't been approached really.

All sounds a bit dodge to be honest.
