koeman finished 6th? so what is the difference, koeman has won titles and cups as a manager. granted he has had some sticky spells as a manager but which manager hasnt, he has built up a wealth of experience from assistant manager at barca and the dutch national team and managed some big clubs benfica etc. dont understand the negativity on here over this appointment

It's okay looking back at past history but I'm going to judge Koeman on what he achieves for Everton not what he's achieved in the past.

Different time, different environment, different players, different resources.

Maybe different outcome.

didnt we have a manager last season that done that?? focused on cups and our league form suffered massivley. the league is your bread and butter first and foremost

The difference was Martinez isn't a very good manager to be able to do that.

I'm sure emery aimed to finish a lot higher, but when it became clear he couldn't finish where he hoped to, he focused on the Europa instead, which got him champions league football.

He wasn't going to win the league so the equivalent of top 4 is a great result.
