Agreed....but if Koeman does well there would be no need to replace him.

One thing a manager gets at Everton is time

One thing a manger USED TO GET at Everton is time.. Can't guess how the new owner will operate but he has effectively already fired a manager in 6 months.

Oh god how will Ronald sleep tonight.

Stop worrying about what other clubs fans think mate....our only interest is Everton ;)

erm...no. Martinez got to be crap for two whole seasons. Most other clubs would have fired him in Spring 2015. If Moshiri had NOT fired him at the end of last season, the fanbase would have been absolutely fuming. Myself included and I was one of Martinez's most steadfast supporters on here.

Off to bed.

Bank Holiday here tomorrow and forecast is for rain - after a fabulous week in fairness - so looking forward to something progressing while I do some work indoors as the garden is completely sorted!!

Night all you Blues!

Moshiri wasn't a shareholder or anything to do with Everton in Spring 2015 though was he..??

What I'm saying is, yes, We are known to give managers a fair amount of slack but that was under the old regime. There's no doubting that Moshiri as the biggest shareholder and effectively a controlling stake is pulling the strings so whilst he may be of the same mindset as past owners he also may not. His record in charge of a football club is still a firing of a manager in less than six months. Regardless of anyone else's thoughts of if or when to fire him that is the fact.

You dont really know that.

But then again if they were interested it would mean he'd been successful here.

No problem with that mate , we move on to the next level manager.
No I really don't........... if he can drop them for us...... he can then drop us........ there is no loyalty in this mate. The only loyalty is from the fans.... at every club.......... who constantly get kicked in the teeth.

December 2014 for me after we lost 2 nil to Hull. That was when I realised he was a fraud.

I am genuinely excited for Koeman and to see what he can do with more money and a team that is not going to sell all of its stars. Also any word on Monchi? Last I heard he wanted to take a break, is there a chance still that his break ends early and we see him come to Everton?

I'm only up to page 2560, but the fact that so many of you are talking about a Southampton forum poster's claim that Koeman's
agent manipulated his move to Everton against his wishes just gives it utterly undeserved credibility.

This.

Pretty sure Koeman can't be forced to sign a contract, and even if this total non-story was true he could just go ahead and sue his agent.
