Seen a fair few Southampton fans complain that he didn't give the youth more of a chance.

Not sure Southampton need this as a clause. If the players are under contract then just say no you cannot sign the players and reject bids. Or put a few million on the player value. They seem to be selling players all the time, so not sure why they are bothered now.
