few days ago it felt that it will be announced before the games. what a letdown. i kno i know, it's done and all but for once everton for gods sakes...just for once could you not ruin the thrill for us...

The contract extension for Gibson today shows that although officially we don't have a manager, unofficially we do.

that's the opinion i get. All koeman has to do is sign on the dotted line you'd expect. But then again i doubt he would have started work that deep yet without being employed. Leads to a lot of questions as well.

Especially regarding other players, would others like osman be signing a new contract today as well if it was koeman's choice to get gibson an extension? I mean i highly doubt gibson's was caused automatically by a trigger of playing enough games to earn one. Nobody else at the club would advise it before a manager came in, nor would the owner agree to pay for the wages without knowing if the player is in a future manager's plans. Would love to know how the deal came about.
 
Haha touche however, you can't enter into a contract remotely it seems or he would have been announced no? Has to be in person.

I work in contract management and the majority of our contracts are signed remotely via Docusign. No reason in the world why RK couldn't open his email on his phone and sign his fat contract on his sun lounger.
