I work in contract management and the majority of our contracts are signed remotely via Docusign. No reason in the world why RK couldn't open his email on his phone and sign his fat contract on his sun lounger.

Yeah contract law is totally different for football clubs.

It is a quirk of the footie rules but contracts have to be hand signed currently (dark ages I know but). RK, EK, JK are in 3 different places at present so I am told it is simply easier to wait than to e-mail, print, scan, e-mail particularly as I'd guess at least one of them is somewhere that would be tough.

Interestingly I am also told the contract for Gibson had been on the table for a while & Koeman chose to honour it. Whether he would have made the offer himself in different circumstances we can only speculate. It was hinted to me that of the rest Ossie was the one who got an offer, but only one year and the decision not yet known.
