He wants it all.

He strikes me as a man who generally gets what he wants and is not afraid of the hard graft it takes to attain it.

The future's bright.
The future's blue and white
From all I've read about him he loves his Premiership football, and will not be shy investing cash to become a winning side on the pitch, he knows on the pitch is all that matters, you win on the pitch, the rest will take care of its self.

Further down the line I would not be surprised if he brings in other wealthy parties to take shares and run the club with him.

Davies and Connolly gave us two strong reasons today as to why we should be wary of Mourinho

Their development will be in jeopardy

Is it worth destroying an entire generation of young players for a trophy or two?

I would be exceedingly wary of letting Jose loose on our youth set up

We need to be really careful of this type of reaction. We don't have an entire generation of youth players who will make it as premier league footballers. We have a couple who will make it, but don't be fooled into thinking we have 11 ready to make it.

Mourinho never been faced with a challenge like us we don't know how he would deal with it tbh. The myth of him only spending would be broken if we ever realised that pipe dream.

Let's be careful of building the young lads up. Some may make it, others with have a career lower down. Let's just enjoy the young lads playing for the first team, don't put pressure or live up to the myth that Martinez has brought through a rack of youth.

Before today and the dead rubber euro game, what youth has he brought through? Despite a couple more then knocking on the door

I think the cup wins, Derby wins and general bossness would make me feel better.

For 2-3 years maybe, but then he'd leave and it would be back to the wilderness for another decade

I want there to be a successful and healthy Everton for future generations of Evertonians

We are not Real Madrid or Chelsea

We do not have endless funds to give Jose's replacement (after he inevitably flakes in his third season) to re build the club

Our club has historically survived and even thrived on bringing young players through

Please think about what happens to clubs after Jose Mourinho leaves them before going gung-ho on the Jose Bandwaggon

Could just destroy a generation of fans instead eh?

Young lad. Doesn't know whether to support Liverpool or Everton.

Klopp or Martinez
Trophies or none trophies

No.

Here and now, screw tomorrow.

Moshiri and Mourinho's agent are close friends, they socialise in Monaco together.

Mourinho has a lot more win here if he took over than Man U, and word is Man U aren't that keen anyway.

Is Mourinho going to go to Man U and beat Pep at City, beat Conte at Chelski, he'd be under immense pressure to win titles.

Where'd you read/hear this mate?

Happily take 2-3 years

Find it odd that you wouldn't.

Of course we are not a Chelsea. They are some Micky Mouse club that's won barely anything until some Russian bought all the best players in the world. They are a club in the same league as City, loads of money but very few trophies, so don't ever say we are not Chelsea, or course we are not, we are much better than that.......

Could argue just as easily that if the young lads are really looking up to it, they'll make it into the first team anyway. It's not as if Roberto has blooded loads of new players, he only played two today because of an injury crisis.

What's more, if Mourinho did leave after 3 years having won us stuff and got us into champions league, who is to say that our profile being raised like that won't attract a top manager as his replacement.

It's either 2-3 years of winning titles the five years of decline, or 10 years of being useless. I don't know about the rest of you but five is better than 10.

Michael, he had a 21 year old striker upfront when Porto won the Champions League
