Is that some of the Culture Club band members?

Harsh on Pellegrini

He's won the league with someone elses squad (if people believe martinez only got us to 5th using moyes squad) and had unlimited cash to improve it but bought unwisely and also picked Demechellis consistently.

Think he could have done a lot more.

Wait what?

What if the question is, managers who can do a better job than martinez and are available?

Thats still the wrong question.

Which manager can build a dynasty and achieve success like we had in the 80s ?

Pellegrini - Couldnt do it at City
AVB -- Zenit fans dont like him nor Spurs/Chelsea
Koeman - Track record isnt great.

Mourinho if he focuses long term or a De Boer or similar are much better options.

Considering up until last week Zat thought martinez was still a good manager with no wavering of belief i would also take that with a pinch of salt.

Seriously? Can you find a quote from me saying that with the date?

I dont think ive said that.

Pelligrini is the best realistic choice available. Great manager and we should be sounding him out already.

ok first of all name a manager who has built a dynasty then? apart from ferguson? Because the other longest serving manager is currently being called to be sacked so that isnt a dynasty as you would describe.

Mourhinio doesn't stay at a club long enough and tends to get driven out of every job he does at some point.

Pellegrini is being swapped for currently the best manager in the world according to most. Listen to city fans, they have been getting him for a few years now.

AVB, no idea about him, but he has a better permier leaguer record than martinez so not terrible.

Koeman- better record in this league, admittedly would be a less high profile manager than we are led to believe.

De Boer- unproven in this league.

Also considering the manager we are getting rid of, i'm not going to turn my nose up at a manager that chelsea didn't like or one that isn't glamourous

Think you have been a martinez supporter up until recently mate.

nothing against, you, but you were praising the manager as being right for the club.

What makes him so good? His transfers have been shockingly bad with unlimited cash....they havent done well in the league this season...he's hardly a motivator...not sure what he could say was a triumph at city ?

does he have complete control over transfers at city? sterling always seemed an odd one to me...and the kind of 'marquee' signing a non manager would go for

As if the person specification of our new manager will state: must be able to oversee a footballing dynasty in which we conquer all for a minimum of five years. The manager's objective will remain the same... Just get us in the bloody Champions League! I think Pellegrini could manage that!

sure you were mate.

if i could be arsed to i could easily vault you on it.

"Martinez is a good manager"
"Martinez is a good fit for the club"

Havent said either of those things unless were talking a long time ago.

What i said was:

1-- I'd like to see what he could do with money behind him as hes made some good signings

2-- I can see what hes been trying to achieve but not had the resources to cover all areas (our wage bill is 9-11th in the league and our spend is also mid table)

I also said id give him a chance in summer to strengthen and see how he does next season first.

However after Southampton and the Derby i've changed my mind.
