The upside of today is that totem pole head might keep his job if they win the cup and leave a certain Portugese manager with 1 PL option.........

At this moment, that's what I'm hoping for. I think he would fit in here. Even if he was to turn us down. So what? At least we can say we tried to go for one of the best managers in world football. And that in itself speaks volumes about ambition.

Sadly I think it would be spun in the media as not a lack of ambition (if he turned us down), but rather, hahaha plucky little Everton tried to get Jose...LOL.

It's the narrative in the media, and Moshiri's investment hasn't changed that narrative as of yet.

Our next move is massive in terms of outlining intent.

I know there is a .0000000001% chance of Simeone but if any club in England could replicate and exceed what he has done in Spain, we would be the model club. I know 100% it's pipe dream but I dream...

You're probably right might, call us delusional etc...I really don't care what they think though. They haven't given us a fair hearing in donkey's years anyway. They want to us to re-appoint Moyes, says everything to me.

The Moyes shouts from the media piss me off. The British media is all about the status quo. Leicester potentially winning the league is killing most of them.

As if Spurs are a normal league winner...ffs. From the outside looking in (American view) the class system is still well and truly a thing in the UK...going above your perceived station is frowned upon apparently...

You're spot on with this though. However we are viewed by the media is irrelevant to me. What is relevant now is how we as Evertonians view ourselves. 'Cause that view will permeate for another generation.

As much as Sean Dyche or Eddie Howe have potential. An appointment like that will signal that our days really are in the past. At the the end of the day, we are still the fourth most successful club in England, failure to appoint someone with a track record of winning titles and trophies, our place within the history of the game will diminish further.
