I believe so yes, I also think Everton would be used as a pawn in a broader game of Mouhino politics, he's never put down roots anywhere for more then a couple of seasons, I wouldn't have us prostitute ourselves for Mourhino to keep his media profile high. He wouldn't develop the club in any way.

You don't know, what the brief is mate - your presuming, that's what you want in a manager, it's clear from the diversity of opinion in the thread that not everyone wants the club driven by a first team coach, or firt team player recruitment, that's why asked people's opinions on the model. If this season has proven anything it's that player recruitment and finance, can be out done by good holistic structures, developing players, coaching to maximum ability and developing a club.

But Mourhino for a couple of years would be entertains media wise, not so much in a footballing sense.
Mourinho is a World renowned winner and if we could somehow land him (and I don't think we will btw), then he'd elevate our status as a club to a level previously thought unthinkable since the 80's.

An appointment at that level would be a catalyst for dramatic change at EFC - especially if he delivered where it really matters - by winning some silverware - which he has done at every club he's been at. I fail to see why anyone would not want that level of manager arriving at Goodison.

I didn't profess to know the brief either, hence the reason I used the word IF.

Time for an experienced manager who has managed at the top, most are in jobs but Pellegrini is not at the end of the season, so for me he could well be the one. Please no Moyes, Howe isn't what we need at the moment and people saying Mourinho are in cloud cuckoo land.
