But would we be better? We want to more forward, no chance we are going to do that with him. Is Lukaku and Stones really going to be persuaded to stay with him as the manager ? no chance, be an awful move that for Everton.
I think that's a bit unfair. Howe is a young manager who's clearly got a bit of talent. Just not yet for Everton. Too early.

He's got Bournemouth level with us, and you could purchase his whole squad with one Lukaku. Says all about the job Bobby's done this year.
Yet, he managed to be kind of really bad with Burnley. Who then got taken to the prem by Sean Dyche, of all people.
So is Sean Dyche better? No, he got relegated quickly.
Is Eddie Howe someone we should consider? No, he's bang average and Bournemouth would've probably gone down if this wasn't an absolute freak season.

For the first time in probably 20+ years we can actually be ambitious about our next manager, as we have the money to back us up, yet people are looking at "similar to Martinez" and David "bottler" Moyes. What's next, Walter Smith out of retirement? Jesus wept.

Aim high, we can actually afford to do that this time!

But the 44-year-old appears to have set his sights on becoming manager at PSG, where he played between 2001 and 2003.

He told French radio station RMC: "I have always said that one day it would be a pleasure to manage a big club like Paris. It's part of my dreams.

"I try to watch all of their games, especially in the Champions League and sometimes I speak with [PSG assistant coach] Jean-Louis Gasset."

"Return to Paris one day, why not?"

Can't see it for a few years. And I don't get why anyone would want too manage PSG. One horse race, that.

He could get the best of both worlds, manage Spurs in the real world and manage PSG in championship manager. Championship manager is probably more challenging than the French league.

Mourinho is a World renowned winner and if we could somehow land him (and I don't think we will btw), then he'd elevate our status as a club to a level previously thought unthinkable since the 80's.

An appointment at that level would be a catalyst for dramatic change at EFC - especially if he delivered where it really matters - by winning some silverware - which he has done at every club he's been at. I fail to see why anyone would not want that level of manager arriving at Goodison.

I didn't profess to know the brief either, hence the reason I used the word IF.

It's an opinion I don't share mate. I don't think appointing Mourhino will mean an automatic right to win a trophy. Nor do I think he's the long term rallying point for anything like sustained success for reasons I've already outlined. I don't hink it will happen either - nor do I want it to.
