Yeah but Howe wont leave a cushy job at Bourmouth to be an understudy. All we have had since Walter left is young managers either learning there trade or one who will never learn, besides Howe isn't that good at setting up a defense either, no point in taking a punt on one for the future, we need something with at least some kind of track record or it will just be another waster oppotunity/season.

I checked Bournemouth transfers and it made me feel very uneasy about Howe. I'd say he should be our last choice. I rather have Bielsa or Pellegrini shepherding someone like Gareth Barry to be our future manager.

But you have clearly been told on here it's not down to BK anymore

That hasn't exactly prevented Moyes from being one of our top choices, has it? LOL

Well, at least Pellegrini's odds pretty high, but I kinda want someone young, fiery and fairly successful, like Emery. Then again, Juande Ramos also won back to back Europa titles...

I'd go with Moyes.

Don't fancy De Boer - won a few cups in clog country? Meh. Doesn't mean he's a bad coach/manager, but he'd be a gamble. McLaren won the league there, ffs.

Don't fancy many others either.

Can't see Moshiri throwing money hand over fist at the playing side of things. I'd expect him to follow the 'Arsenal model' and look to be relatively stable and prudent whilst investing in the infrastructure of the club, whilst also ensuring we have a a competitive wage budget on the playing side of things.

Think Moyes would be ideal for that sort of role, but wouldn't want him around for another 11 years.

If you believe Moyes is a top choice for replacing Martinez, then you are the ideal target audience for lazy and predictable journalists.

Let me get this right, you were backing Martinez right up until last week and now you want Moyes back lol

It's like there are only 2 managers in the world capable of managing Everton in your strange mind.

Genuine question, why?

Why do we need to return when we've past his era? He went stale for the last 3 years and there is absolutely zero need to even consider him as a candidate. We're heading in a new direction with money to spend. When he spent a good amount - he failed, here and with United.

Why should we not be looking at De Boer? Why does Moyes interest you more than a Koeman? I genuinely can't wrap my head around the idea of him returning. I know I'd swerve it if he did.

He busted his own myth

Not at all. I never actually wanted Martinez in the first place. I said as much in here during the summer we appointed him, if I recall correctly.

But yeah, I was backing Martinez up until last week. Don't attack me for having a bit of patience and supporting OUR manager. But yeah, even I've lost patience now.

If we're gonna spend mega bucks on players, then sure, get Jose or Simeone. If however, as I suspect, that we're gonna be relatively prudent, whilst looking to build a new stadium, then I'd much rather go with Moyes than some of the other names being bandied about.

Has Moyes been suggested?

For me Moyes is the best choice, hes a top class manager who guided the fallen giants Manchester United to a wonderful Charity Shield in his first season and who can forget the way his Preston team smashed their way to the 2nd division title as well, 2 "trophies" in 20 years is the mark of a true footballing great

Frank De Boers 5 League Titles in 6 years of management pale under the shadow of such a heavyweight record.
Jose Mourinhos countless Leagues, cups and CL victories can only hope to reach such heights.

When I think of World Class Managers in the world, David Moyes is the first name that always comes to mind.
