My 1st choice (but never gonna happen in a million years): Simeone

My second choice (highly unlikely but not impossible): Mourinho

My third choice (and most plausible): De Boer and hope he brings Bergkamp and Stam with him.

Won it three consecutive times. It's more his name and what he brings. He's Frank De Boer, he demands respect. Arsenal, Barcelona and Liverpool have had or have interest in him as their manager, he's a wanted man and we should bring him.

Take a look at his tactics. Pressing and energetic midfield, compact but always looking to get it wide with, and the biggest thing for after watching us under Martinez, the hatred of giving up space. He demands excellence, something we don't do.

Koeman similar, his name, the respect and his tactical beliefs. His Southampton side aren't all that compared to other sides but he's spent well and the players love him. They play some good stuff. They're outperforming themselves at the minute yet he's looking to meet with his board in the summer to lay out his expectations and hopes they back him so they go further up the league? Come on. The man can back up what he wants to do.

They don't beat around the bush, they're honest, they tell it like it is. And yenno what? They're winners.

They're perfect candidates for this job.

Won it 3 times on the bounce eh? Makes you wonder why Arsenal, Barca or err, that shower, have not snapped him up. He'll crumble outside the comfort zone of Ajax.....

His credentials as a player mean zilch. Same goes for Koeman.

It's laughable to suggest that Koeman has done anything as a manager that suggests he's better than Moyes. Absolutely laughable.

are you actually for real mate.

When have Arsenal, barca, or liverpool needed a manager?

seriously?

Arsenal have Wenger, who the board love, Barca have their very specific way of recruiting managers, and it 9/10 tends to be someone who has already coached within the club, liverpool have Klopp.

Uhmm.....Liverpool just went through a manager change THIS VERY SEASON! You know.....when they appointed Klopp after Brenda was shown the door. So, they clearly "needed" a manager.

And they had been talking to Klopp for MONTHS before they sacked Rodgers.

Klopp had a reputation for being world class, it was pretty obvious out of anyone on the market at the time he'd be their first choice.

Maybe you're misunderstanding??? I was replying to a post that suggested he'd been eyed up by the scum, barca, and Arsenal..... Based on that ITK knowledge, I guess we should be jumping hand over foot to get him then...

Not that I wouldn't give him my full support if he came ;)

Regardless, they were in the market for a manager. Trivially explaining away a fact doesn't make you correct.

apologies then, thought you was dismissing him as a manager just because he hadn't managed at that standard yet.

It's not trivially explaining anything though is it.

They'd been speaking to a world class manager to come in for months, who would have been anyones first choice if they had needed a manager at the time.

He was literally the biggest fish available at that time, and they got him.

De Boer was offered the chance to interview for the Liverpool job but turned it down to remain with Ajax. "I am honoured by the request from Liverpool but I have only just started with Ajax."
