It's not trivially explaining anything though is it.

They'd been speaking to a world class manager to come in for months, who would have been anyones first choice if they had needed a manager at the time.

He was literally the biggest fish available at that time, and they got him.

Lets lay out the groundwork.

You said 3 teams, including Liverpool, did not need a manager.

I merely pointed out that, yes, they actually did need a manger.

Congrats on the fluff surrounding the appointment, but as the incumbent had been dismissed, they needed a manager. It's as simple as that. You can go on and argue all you like, but it doesn't change the fact that they needed another manager.

Pelligrini 2/1 favourite for Everton job. Times they are a changing for the infinite good! Potentially a fantastic appointment and the guy I'd hand pick even above mourinho of those managers out of work in the summer. Or even employed with maybes the exception of Spurs gaffer.

Even Jose has came into 4/1 with AVB having come in to 5/1. The only disturbing note is Moyes is 3/1. For all I think he saved this club from years in the Leeds mould he is not the man to take us on. I'd be happy with any 3 from the bookies 4 favourites for the job.

Even the calibre of those being linked to us should fill us with hope.

You can try divert away from how poor your argument by claiming I'm "fluffing" things all you want, but your argument remains poor.

As for Liverpool "needing" a manager. They didn't did they, they had been talking to klopp.. they wanted klopp.. And they got him, the best manager available on the market at that time.

Klopp has more of a reputation as a manager than de boer.. that does not mean de boer wouldn't be good enough for us which was my point.

We can agree to disagree though mate.

Frank De Boers 5 League Titles in 6 years of management pale under the shadow of such a heavyweight record.
Jose Mourinhos countless Leagues, cups and CL victories can only hope to reach such heights.

When I think of World Class Managers in the world, David Moyes is the first name that always comes to mind.

Its 4 out of 5, let's not get too carried away!

My argument? Crikey mate. Liverpool needed a managerial change. Regardless of who it ended up being, a new manager was needed.

'Sake. I am not debating which manager has a better reputation, or who would be better as a manager for Everton, or even if Klopp was 99.99% nailed on for the Liverpool job. They needed a new manager as they sacked Rodgers. That is all. Liverpool were in the market, they obviously had a clear idea of who they wanted, and good for them, they got him. But it doesn't take away from the fact is they needed a new manager.

Good lord, I am tired now and it is only noon.

That hasn't exactly prevented Moyes from being one of our top choices, has it? LOL

Well, at least Pellegrini's odds pretty high, but I kinda want someone young, fiery and fairly successful, like Emery. Then again, Juande Ramos also won back to back Europa titles...
Emery is a cut above Ramos, more experience as well.

I feel like we are trying to get to the same type of destination but going totally different directions.

All a bit pointless and silly now though, have a good night mate

Wait, can't we try to throw 6m at Simeone or maybe even Emery? Surely we can pay someone a good salary to right

I agree. Just trying to poke the bubble about McClaren having won the Dutch league compared to De Boer and Cocu. Would be a top pick for me.

I can't imagine Pellegrini on a huge paycut compared to City, so why can't we throw some more money at the dream picks?

De Boer was offered the chance to interview for the Liverpool job but turned it down to remain with Ajax. "I am honoured by the request from Liverpool but I have only just started with Ajax."

Still to see evidence that Barca or Arsenal have him earmarked.

Still to see evidence that the scum wanting to interview him along with all the other crap managers they've appointed and interviewed is in any way an indicator that he'd be the right man for us.

He might well be a good manager, in fact, he probably is, but I'm not sure him and his team could translate the success they've hd at Ajax into the prem.

Imagine Goodishhhoonn, going all Dutch, ffs. Bring back the Glasgow snarl to the ground please.

He'd be my first choice, then De Boer.

fast train coming

But that was in 2012.

When he turned them down? Yeah, they got Rodgers and there was no need to get a new manager then, role had been. Since then he's won titles and elevated himself as a manager but now has the desire to manage over here.

Same owners in 2012 as they do now as well. Ian Ayre was still running the show.

Previous player and now doing well in the managerial world. Doesn't take much to connect the dots.

Pointless talking about it if you're stuck in the past and want Moyes back really.

So a completely made up link then.
