Interesting to see is Koeman really our man...Gotta admit that contract extension picture with players is a bit forced...Saints way of saying 'pay up or forget it'

What's your latest pecking order? I'm in the

1. Mourinho (naturally but not happening)
2. De Boer or Koeman
3. Open to decent options such as Favre, but he is a bigger gamble than the ones above him IMO.

I've talked myself out of Pellegrini, as distinguished as he is, it's not doing it for me.

Lots of bitter comments from the so called expert pundits. If staying at Southampton is a better option for Koeman it's simply because Martinez has made us so bad. Are they a bigger club than us? absolutely not and there is no reason why Koeman couldn't achieve bigger and better things with us. We are not a media darling so we aren't going to be lauded as a great option for managers. Sky view us as an inconvenience and would love nothing more than for us to bring back David Moyes or keep the Fat Waiter in the Prem.
I'm not sold on Koeman or FDB, but accept they are the most realistic candidates but i want Jose because he is the best and because i want to see all those pundits that write us off every year suddenly have to sit up and pay attention.

Frank de Boer is ready for Premier League challenge and is keen on Everton job, brother Ronald tells talkSPORT

Frank de Boer would relish the chance to manage Everton, his twin brother Ronald has told talkSPORT.

The Toffees sacked Roberto Martinez on Thursday and De Boer is among the favourites to succeed him.

The Dutchman is available having parted company with Ajax earlier this week after five-and-a-half years in charge of the Amsterdam club.

Ronald, a youth academy coach at Ajax, says it was the right time for his sibling to move on and claims he is ready for the challenge of leading a Premier League team.

Speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, the former Barcelona and Netherlands star said: "Frank is very much interested in the job.

"He has taken his coaching career step by step. He started with the Under-12s, then the Under-19s and then he took over from Martin Jol [as senior Ajax boss].

"It is so important you learn the job slowly. He is now ready for the next step.

"Frank has already showed with his five-and-a-half years at Ajax he brings something extra into the game. Some coaches you really see the idea behind the game and that is what Frank is capable of.

"I hope they [Everton] think of Frank because I believe my brother is more than capable of handling the job but, of course, it is not for me to say.

"The Everton board, of course, have to agree with it and there are a lot of other candidates who are capable of doing the job. We will wait and see."

Asked if there has been approach for Frank from Everton, Ronald added: " We know in the press there is interest but at the moment I know there is not contact."

I would like Clement as part of the set up to be honest, he is in a class of really good coaches which don't make it as a manager... Done it all seen it all.

Would defo have him as part of the set up.

Clement actually was proving to be a good manager in his own right. They sacked him at Derby because he was actually promoting them and they didn't like that. But considering ancellotti headhunted him for real Madrid you can't turn your nose up at that.

But if Sammy Lee is part of the reason things are working for him at Southampton, would you not want that? Surely he would be professional enough to do a job here? (Maybe not!!!)

Bentitez follows the same train of thought there then. And none of us want him here lol

Koeman doesn't need Sammy Lee, and I hope thst the message of ambition Moshiri is meant to be singing now means he can up the quality of his coaching staff now he has the chance to

Still think Pellegrini would be great appointment. Mourinho isnt very realistic.
Pellegrini Koeman De Boer any of those would do just fine imo....you never know there might be suprise names in the race too.

I wonder if Mourinhos people are still talking to our people as was hinted by @esk a couple of weeks ago, and more importantly, does the term 'our people' translate as Moshiris people or Kenwrights?

No to Pellegrini, massive NO from me. As dour as Davey. Failed at a money club(this year). Although He won the title though but I can't take to him.

he's coming to the end of his career, I'd prefer a younger hungrier model.

Out of c.60m people, Moshiri is the #75= richest man in the UK, according to the 2016 Sunday Times rich list.
By contrast, Abramovich is 13th richest and Paul McCartney is 147=
Just to put this in some context of how loaded our new head honcho is
