lollollollol at sammy lee. There isn't a chance he brings him with him in my opinion. the goblin looking helmet can stay on the south coast if Koeman Leaves.

Defo - the question of Jose needs to be asked, if he says no thank him for his time and move on. If he says yes, party time.

Koeman i think probably is the next logical step because of his prem experience now, and like i say id be quietly confident we would see a pretty good progression.

....although he's a little bit younger than me I played in the same team as Sammy as well as representative schoolboy football, he's a really nice fella. I'm not sure of his coaching ability but that would be the case for anybody unless you've worked with them.

@The Esk thanks for all the info you've given. It's clear Everton have leaked £100 million budget stories to unsettle Koeman. Just wondering if you have a break down of that 100 mill? Being realistic, I'm guessing 25 mill or so from Mosh and the rest from player sales and TV money. If so, it's not hugely different from the situation he has at Southampton and it's hard to see a highly compelling reason for him to come to us. Hoping the Mosh can persuade him as its looking like the bigger gamble of FDB if not.
Lad. Why?

Oh he is a nice fella, i have had a pint with him in the Bear and Staff in Woolton always up for a chat about footy, he is there when back these ways.

One thing is though, he is a billion percent a red, and one of the not so nice ones we encounter. I stay away from any chat of Liverpool or Everton when i have seen him, best that way - normally Aldo is in the background somewhere and pipes up too.

the bellend.

He left at the end of his contract?

Not sure this re writing of history is really a good thing. He had 11 years here, won nothing and so left us. If anything thst was respectful from him to say fair enough I haven't succeeded here so I will take another job elsewhere. Granted it was United but it's not like he upped and left us in the middle of a contract or even signed a new one before the end of the season.
No. Re writing of history is a good thing. Are we supposed to just forget the 11 years he spent here? Not only did he achieve nothing but he convinced some fans that this was the norm at Everton.
He didn't say fair enough, I haven't succeeded so I will take another job, he left because he believed his own hype and once Ferguson massaged his ego further he did one.

I wouldn't say awful as it would be an upgrade on Martinez to me but he's no better than Moyes to me.
He would have us safe in and around 6th - 8th.

Might as well just get Moyes back if Hughes is the standard we are looking at.

Any Premier League manager we could realistically get will have a worse track record than Moyes.

Come on.

We were terrible when he arrived and had been for over a decade. Financially we were in a terrible shape, and remained so throughout his time here.

The period he was here was the 3rd best 10 year period in our history in terms of league finishes. When we did better (60's and 80's) it was with financial backing we could only dream of nowadays.

I'm not saying he was perfect but he was a damn good manager for this club.

I honestly give up with some of you. Moyes? Flores? Hughton? Oh my god you've all been brainwashed with fairy liquid and it's clouding your judgment

We have a BILLIONAIRE OWNER...A BILL-ION-AIRE....

Yet some...

'...hey there....what about SEAN DYCHE? YES?'

#NOOOOooooooooooooo

Mate some of our fan base have been swept with a "hel do virus" that's stemmed from years of nothingness.

Ok I want Jose and it's aching me we won't get him but we have to TRY and try our best! Then you go to the nxt best after Jose etc. not " ah hel do him Yearh Moyes" or erm that hughton Or Flores he's ok..... " wake up and start thinking and acting big"

Looking at Koemans career next to Quique Flores theyve managed at a few of the same clubs but I would say Flores has been more successful. Hes younger than Koeman and taking Watford to 13th and an FA cup semi was easily as impressive as Koemans season at Southampton.

My only fear with koeman is that he brought Sammy Lee with him. He is a kopite, don't want him here.

I just pray with both clement and Clarke out of work that Ronald approaches them instead and he have a quality pairing in the dugout. If he had any sense he would take that chance up.

I can't imagine Sammy Lee wanting to come here either

But if Sammy Lee is part of the reason things are working for him at Southampton, would you not want that? Surely he would be professional enough to do a job here? (Maybe not!!!)
