Moyes is only mentioned because he is out of work at present.
O Neill because his contract with Ireland is coming to and end and there is no agreement in place for a new one and I think he might like to go back to club management.
Benitez because he still lives in Liverpool. But, if there wasn't a Liverpool connection he is a manager that would be certainly in the reckoning.

@The Esk thanks for all the info you've given. It's clear Everton have leaked £100 million budget stories to unsettle Koeman. Just wondering if you have a break down of that 100 mill? Being realistic, I'm guessing 25 mill or so from Mosh and the rest from player sales and TV money. If so, it's not hugely different from the situation he has at Southampton and it's hard to see a highly compelling reason for him to come to us. Hoping the Mosh can persuade him as its looking like the bigger gamble of FDB if not.

Aye mate, i am tending to agree with that statement to be honest.

I hadn't really paid him or southampton much attention if am honest, so when it was pretty lively yesterday saying we where offering him XYZ i thought i best take a look. Listening to the man was fascinating, talking about his systems and the way he uses different systems in matches to win, listening to him breaking down the good and bad of wins and loses. He really intrigued me.

then look at the job he has done at Southampton - bought well, sold loads, and performing better then use for 2 years straight.

His past is a bit concerning, if he does leave he hasn't lasted longer then 2 years at a club - always looking for the bigger better deal, but we all know once everton touches you.

I won't be screaming from the rooftops - but id be quietly confident we will improve massively then with Martinez.

As expected there's some odd betting patterns ATM (5 mins ago). O'Neil, gone, bookies have made their dough on that, none starter, despite what's written. FLORES pricing is SO varied. JOSE price gotta be worth a tickle. Ask, he says NO, so what...

But KOEMAN, yep, I'd be happy with it. I quite liked TIME BANDITS too so not even SAMMY LEE puts me off. And lets face it...he was a gritty little midge wasn't he and we're well short of that...

odds.webp

Exactly this^^^
Moyes wasn't sacked, he didn't just move on because things weren't working out, he thought he was too big and too good for lil ole Everton, all the more surprising as he's achieved absolutely zilch.
He left at the end of his contract?

Not sure this re writing of history is really a good thing. He had 11 years here, won nothing and so left us. If anything thst was respectful from him to say fair enough I haven't succeeded here so I will take another job elsewhere. Granted it was United but it's not like he upped and left us in the middle of a contract or even signed a new one before the end of the season.

lollollollol at sammy lee. There isn't a chance he brings him with him in my opinion. the goblin looking helmet can stay on the south coast if Koeman Leaves.

Defo - the question of Jose needs to be asked, if he says no thank him for his time and move on. If he says yes, party time.

Koeman i think probably is the next logical step because of his prem experience now, and like i say id be quietly confident we would see a pretty good progression.

My only fear with koeman is that he brought Sammy Lee with him. He is a kopite, don't want him here.

I just pray with both clement and Clarke out of work that Ronald approaches them instead and he have a quality pairing in the dugout. If he had any sense he would take that chance up.

I can't imagine Sammy Lee wanting to come here either

I would like Clement as part of the set up to be honest, he is in a class of really good coaches which don't make it as a manager... Done it all seen it all.

Would defo have him as part of the set up.

Moshiri won't be spending his own money on transfers. I highly doubt it.

Mate...here's the thing now. If players want to leave. Fine. Get the best possible price, boot them on, if they don't want to stay then I don't want them here...

But the game has changed massively now for our club. Whoever comes in will be of a far better level and WAY more experienced than what's just left. The MOSH has finally made a statement of intent (if you think BILL pushed the BOBBY button then you're mistaken), he won't accept mediocrity - it's that simple - and the players have the chance to be part of something...

If they choose not to be then - and genuinely, no bias - then they're missing out, I honestly feel that, and I'm happy to wave them bye-bye.

Yeah...FDB's a gamble.

But our last manager was poached from a side he relegated.

The upgrade is still huge.

Exciting times indeed...
