I would love to see the media reaction if we got Mourinho.
I'd like to see everyone's reaction if he just expressed an interest. The smartarse smirking at the suggestion from some of them
makes me sick.
Everton could easily compete at the very top with the right people running the club and, of course, the money needed. Not convinced
that we have quite enough money - I'm thinking of the new stadium part - but maybe we do.

I've just spent the last few hours watching Mourhino interviews. What comes across more than anything is that he is his own man. It's either his way or the byway; full control. He has to be the main man and for this reason I don't see him fitting in at Man.Utd.

Mourhino at Man.Utd is far from being a marriage made in heaven. The media, the sponsors, the financial guys want Mourhino at Man.Utd more so for the entertainment factor than for football reasons. It will generate a great deal of interest.

Jose is a football man. Away from football he is a family man who prefers to leave his work at the the front door.

The question is: Would Jose want a project that is guaranteed to be a circus show? I'm not so sure.

After the debacle at Chelsea I think he has something to prove to himself and that alone will determine I believe where his next job will be.
He's worked at Real Madrid with Perez, Chelsea with Abramovich and Inter with Morratti. At United he will have more control than he ever did at those clubs

I think bringing United back to the top and taking down his neighbor Guardiola at Man City will be what appeals to him.

That's what he thrives on, while all the focus is on him he takes all the focus away from the players and let's them get on with with winning.

They're actually doing the right thing if they keep him on.

He's bringing one or two young players through, and I can see why they're not keen on sacking. There's no club that has ever benefited long-term from a quickfire hire and fire policy...

Look at the absolute kip of Chelsea (as an example) ffs.
He's done an awful job and he's retiring in a year anyway. There is no long term gain in perseverance if the man is gone in 12 months

If Martinez brought through one or two youth players then I doubt Everton fans would be saying its the right thing to keep him on

Not surprised for the Jose headlines at all. Of course we were going to have a crack, we'd be crazy not to.

The timing is right with this one. If United don't go for him, he will be at Everton next season. No doubt in my mind.

Ladies and gentlemen. Fellow Blues.

Brace yourselves for what may be the most most disturbingly inaccurate piece of fiction ever written in a newspaper yet.

Warning...

The headline alone may disturb. Proceed with caution.

David Moyes is being lined up for a return to Everton
De Boer, who has left Ajax, is the favourite to replace Roberto Martinez who was sacked last week after three years on Merseyside.

It's understood the Dutchman opened talks with Everton on Friday, but should a deal fail to materialise, Moyes is more than willing to return to Goodison Park.

The Scot, who was replaced by Martinez in 2013, has been out of the game since he left Real Sociedad last November and Express Sport undertsands he is in the frame.

Roberto Martinez has left Goodison Park but who could replace the Spanish boss?

"Would I consider going back? I've said if I get an exciting challenge and something that makes me feel I could get my teeth into it then I would be really interested," he told The Times.

"When we took over we had 11 great and successful years but we also had to rebuild the club a little bit. I just think now the change has been made and Everton need to now go and do it again.

"If you give David Moyes an opportunity he tends to rebuild a club and he tends to get it going in the right direction and making sure that things are correct and I'm looking forward to getting the chance to do that again.

De Boer is the favourite with the Bookies to replace Martinez after his interest was confirmed by his brother Ronald this week.

But fellow Dutchman and Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is also strongly linked, despite claims he will honour the final year of his contract with Saints.

David Unsworth will be in charge for the final game of the season at home to Norwich, and the former defender believes whoever takes charge will be inheriting a top job.

"It's one of the top jobs in the world," he said.

"And that's not me with my biased Everton blue hat on, it is one of the top managerial jobs, especially now with our new investor.

"With the relationship that the new manager will have with our chairman, with the passionate fans that we have, it's a top job for whoever gets it."

Unless it's written by Paul Joyce (this isn't) everything written in the Express is nearly always wrong. They have no credibility.

They've just used Moyes interview and spun it that we'd have him back when it's increasingly obvious it's a new era with Moshiri calling the shots & we won't.

Paul Joyce is the only one from that rag worth listening too.

I really think that Mourinho isn't as unrealistic as some people think, a lot of you act like we haven't got money still. If we pay his wages and guarantee a £100 + million kitty along with an already talented squad you would be retarded to think he wouldn't come to us if he doesn't go United, which it looks like he isn't. What happened to Bielsa btw? I'd take him over De Boer personally.
