Has anyone considered that Jose might not even want the Utd job? The media would have us believe that Utd are the biggest club in the observable universe and no mortal can resist it's pull. He could very well still be at Chelsea, by no means bigger than us other than the lure of Abromovich.
He has won everything there is to win, what has to got to prove to anyone? Now taking a club like Everton, and turning us into a force both home and abroad would be special even for the "special one".
If you don't ask, you don't get and its all hypothetical at the moment, but I believe we could get him no problem, why not? He's said in the past that he could manage "even Tottenham or Everton" I believe was the quote, and that was the Everton of then, not this new animal that some billionaire has decided to throw his hard earned cash at.
In the meantime, I'm going to dream big, you just never know.

Let's hire a Spaniard that just relegated his club. What can go wrong?

He did not have enough time, if he had another 5 games, they would not have gone down. Just forget what he said and look at his record of the things he has won. The guy is a winner. Apart from Mourhino he is the next best manager on the list that has won things.

He would be better than Koeman and De Boer.

At the end of the day we all want us to win trophies. He is very good tactically and would be the type of manager to stick around 4+ years unlike Mourhino.

People talk about Jose being a winner and want him no matter what. Wins trophies, will win us one, will get the monkey off our back, get us to the top table again.

I don't want him, but want us to be winners again, so would accept his appointment.

I believe Benitez would do this and much more.

Would hate come before trophies? To win a trophy would you accept a Benitez appointment?

We all know the clubs he has managed - all of which have won trophies in his guidance (when given time).

If we are looking at proven winners like Pellegrini or Mourinho then Benitez needs to be in the mix.
