There is a big difference between Everton and Man Utd. Everton fans have a say on the manager. If we all go on a forum and say we want rid of him the club listens. Man Utd is a global corporation. They are interested in making money and having a big name coach. The match-going fans opinion is secondary to that of sponsors, major shareholders etc who know nothing about football. So in short although "proper" man utd fans want rid of Van Gaal, he is not necessarily going to get sacked.

I think you're deluding yourself if you believe that.

The vast majority wanted Martinez out for weeks before he eventually got sacked.

The board didn't listen and it cost us a semi final and avoiding a derby humiliation potentially.

EDIT: sorry just noticed you've addressed a similar reply above.

I know this is the manager discussion - but kinda relevant.

The DoF rumour thats going around, and that The Esk said the club where looking at... who do we think for that? Could it be an older manager looking to move upstairs or someone thats already in that type of role? Literally have no clue who we would target for that.

Lack of manager news is boring, and Lukaku leaving is crap - so lets do this.

Mourinho is not coming this week, or next week, he will not be the next Everton manager.

Glad that's settled.

until it don't not happen, it still may happen...'ye cannea change the laws of physics' as is said, so quantum theory tells us the are (at least) 2 possibilities and until the box is actually open, both options are, equally possible. Not saying your wrong mind just ahead of your self...for now.

I don't even know what they do? Joe Royle?

Sly Bet this morning:

FdB 6/5, Koeman 4/1, Moyes 9/2, Mourinho 7/1, Pellegrini 8/1

There are some utter gash names with odds associated so I wouldn't read too much into it other than the names banded about on here for months are leading the field. Obviously the gargmoyes is the odd one out.

Gargoyle1.webp

David Garg-Moyes 9/2 according to sly bet.

Jose's options are limited.
There are not many top clubs around europe who are looking for a new manager.
And not many clubs who will pay the money he wants
And very few clubs in the league's he would prefer to manage in.

Well I'd already paid at that stage
I fully understand your dilemma my friend.
Money can lend blur to what, prima facie, might appear black or white decision processing.
You stumped up (!) for Conte but were delivered Cocu : so what's a man to do??

One night in Bangkok makes a hard man humble...
