Niko Kovac has left Bayern and would be a great shout for next manager. Incredible at Frankfurt and good at Bayern too.

Plus looking at his set up, it would suit some of the square pegs we have in midfield.

Mourinho and Arsenal is a recipe for disaster. Given their history when he was at Chelsea, his style of football, plus the fact that they havent got money to spend I just cannot see him there.

If he doesnt head to Bayern then he's definitely waiting for a PL team - which one though?

Has to be under consideration if Silva goes sometime soon imo. Was very impressive with Frankfurt which earned him the Bayern job in the first place, including winning the German cup (beating Bayern in the final) and laying the foundations that the highly regarded Adi Hutter has benefited from.

Obviously Bayern are expected to win the league but Kovac did well to arrest a bad run of form and see off Dortmunds best title challenge since Klopp won it with them.

Kovac was never the big name that their fans wanted and he didn't play the way they'd become accustomed to under Guardiola. Bayern fans want that Pep football but without the Champions League semi final capitulations. Even Ancelotti fell prey to them wanting more than just results. I think Kovac's style could fit better here than at Bayern, who expect to steamroll everyone with style.

Of course it has to be taken under consideration that while he eventually got the job done last season and still might have this season, he has made hard work of a league that Bayern have made look easy since like 2013. Though you have to remember the spine of that great Heynckes/Guardiola side has declined as the rest of the Bundesliga has improved.

His Bayern also completely rolled over for the RS last season in the second leg, which was ugly.

The longer this goes on the more I’m convinced Moyes needs to return to steady the ship.

we are like a rudderless boat drifting towards the rocks.
