Talk us through the process of hiring Diego Simeone from Ath Madrid.

Heres what he has so far :

40m a year wage
A team that finished 2nd last season
A team that got to the last 16 of the CL last season
The best GK in the world
1 of the best young players in the world
They are currently 3rd in La Liga, 1 point from 1st
Certain to advance to the last 16 of the CL

Heres what Everton can offer him in return :

6m a year wage
A team that finished 8th last season
A team thats never played in the CL proper
Jordan Pickford
Big Dom
We are currently 17th, 21 points from 1st
In the last 16 of the League Cup

Thats gonna be a tough, tough choice for Diego to make yano.

He’s on 40m a year? That 800k a week ... more than Ronaldos wage when at Real Madrid .

4. Pep Guardiola (Manchester City)

€24.1 million/£20.7 million

3. Thierry Henry (formerly Monaco)

€25.5 million/£21.6 million

2. Jose Mourinho (formerly Manchester United)

€31 million/£26.2 million

1. Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid)

€41.2 million/£35.4 million

Lol wtf ... according to that Henry is on more than pep? In his first managerial appointment he is getting paid more than the best manager on the planet who manages the richest team on earth.

His style of burn everything to the ground hurts clubs in the long run.

Not even sure his style works any more. He’s a rich mans version of Moyes

He bought Fred for over £50 million

He didn’t respect United. What makes us think he’d respect our beloved club?

Mate I’d love him to come in ... all the soft arses would be out the door within a week.

Whoever thinks Jose would come here is absolutely nuts. Arteta is too much of a gamble after the continuation of the revolving door. Has to be someone right for making do with poor form and turning things around. Has to be Benitez for me.

With December’s fixtures, Moyes’s record against the top four just makes him a no go.

I don't like seeing Everton get beat but I'd take the loss if it meant Silva gets replaced. I feel like it;s the only way the board are going to wake up.

The idea of Arteta’s growing on me more and more to be honest.

He’s definitely a risk, but is there anyone who we could realistically get that ISN’T a risk?

There’s a small handful of managers who would be an absolute sure thing, and none of them are coming to us.

Feel like Arteta has a bigger potential upside than most of those we could get, whohave a pretty easily foreseeable “ceiling”

He doesn't even have managerial experience, How can people even consider him, If he had no previous connection to the club and it was Joe Bloggs people would be fuming at the idea of some assistant with no experience being manager.
