Agreed. Mahomes is a good QB but he needs a lot to make it work. The best QBs can do what Burrow and Brady do, rise up when it matters and do it with very little at their disposal

The fact that Burrow is in the Superbowl is testament to his ability. You yourself had written them off because you rightly pointed out how bad their O-Line is but he came up with the goods when it mattered. Mahomes is Rodgers, one and done.

Most Bengals fans (myself included) wrote the Bengals off in regular season. And then when we got the Titans in the playoffs. And again when we got the Chiefs. All because the OL is nowhere near upper-tier.

For a QB to rise above the absence of pass protection, to be able to orchestrate scoring drives despite having a weak run game, is nuts. It's the type of thing we've only previously seen Brady and Montana do.

As we saw last night there is something to be said for a QB having no time to think - Mahomes had (even in OT) loads of time and kept making the wrong decisions.
