yes, I would rather see Greg Lewis (running backs coach) promoted, on the other hand Nagy had to work with Mitchell Trubisky which is a massive handicap for anyone, and did do well as OC for the Chiefs under Alex Smith.

It does. He's been touted as a head coaching candidate, but no team has taken the plunge. Wonder why? He's had interviews, I believe; he must not have impressed for some reason.

I don't know his background but I've heard people say he's got baggage that may prevent him from being HC, maybe he's getting a big salary from Snyder to work his magic for the Maroon and Black.

I gotcha. He was on that vintage Colorado Buffaloes team—loads of discipline, legal issues throughout that team

Maybe a sidewards move is what he needs to do to get away from “ anyone would be a great OC with Mahoney as QB ” probably has to prove himself elsewhere.

I think he was possibly pushed out by Reid as well. Bieniemy was out of contract with the Chiefs as he signed a 1 year deal last season. He called maybe 30% of the plays with Reid calling the other 70%.

Nagy was brought in for a reason and he was maybe promised the OC job. This tweet seems to support that view

I think teams are concerned about the step from having Andy Reid doing most of the work to not having him around anymore. His former OCs have been pretty awful with Doug Pederson being the one exception. Fair or not I think that matters.
