These awards are stupid anyway, I mean just look at Myles Garrett winning DPOY and you see that so many times with these awards it just becomes voter fatigue and people want different guys to win them every year. I mean in no world is Lamar a better QB than Mahomes, and you could argue Mahomes is even more important to his team than Lamar.
A bunch of my mates and I were just talking about this with the NBA MVP. I mean LeBron somehow only has 4. That's objectively ridiculous no matter how you slice it. He could have won 10 straight league MVPs. But voters are always looking to give different guys the award. They are only meaningful to a point.
Re: Myles Garrett, you can come up with any number of fake stats to prove whatever narrative you want. He's a good player, and I think ultimately the award went to the best player on the best defense in the NFL for most of the year. But to say that Watt somehow padded stats or his actual production somehow matters less than a guy who "got double teamed" more is utterly ridiculous.
