True. They had no answer for third down. Just make one play, defense. Just one.
Patriots D was just as bad though but a coin toss saved them from having to go on the field again. It goes both ways. Whoever got the ball first was winning that OT

The OT rules still need looking at. We've made the league into an offense based affair so something like first score wins need to be adjusted as well. That said the Chiefs didn't make the plays in the first half or down the stretch. Ford just can't be offside. We will also see penalties be challenged next year after that mess at the end of the Saints game.

This Super Bowl stinks though. A pretty unlikable Patriots team vs a team that basically lost the game and got bailed out by what in 10 years will be looked at as the worst call ever. Hard to really enjoy that unless you're a fan of one of the teams involved.

As opposed to the team winning the toss being the only one with the ball?? Winning the toss should be a slight advantage but not to the current degree. At least in the scenario you stated the losing coin toss team still has a chance. Itd be like a penalty shoot out only letting the team who won the toss kick and if they make the first pen its over

if you hold them to a FG you have all 4 downs to get 1st downs because you know you have to score and if you stop them all you need is a FG to win it. It actually balances itself out nicely. The game only ends on a TD in the 1st possession, so play some damn defense, or don't get your behind handed to you in the 1st half, or you know double Gronk when he's split out wide, or win it in regulation. trust me if both teams are guarenteed the ball its a huge advantage for the team that gets the ball 2nd. A bigger advantage than the current setup.

It was a dumb rule before this game and a dumb rule after it, not specific to this game at all. If the chiefs won the toss and scored right away it's still a dumb rule

Am I wrong or does he only come on to kick for goal and then go off again?

Usually yeah, but you have 11 opponents trying to stop him making that kick, sometimes the defenders will get to the kicker and he is going to need protection.

Very rarely they will fake the kick too and pass or run the ball. Also if something was to go wrong and the defence does get to the ball the kicker then has to act as a defender.

Thanks. Just proves that I don't watch enough NFL. I only watched as I've sort of followed New Orleans since my first visit the the USA was a week in the French Quarter of NOLA

So, the president's good friend Tom Brady and his beloved Patriots versus Stan Kroenke's Rams, freshly back in LA.

A real cornucopia of delights, eh? Still, convincing drama and Clattenburg like levels of ineptitude from the officials.

Something for everyone, a comedy tonight!
Is there any actual evidence that Brady is Trump’s mate?

I’ve always gotten the impression that Trump desperately WANTS him to be his mate, and that he’s used his relationship with Kraft to create chances to try to make that happen.

Like I think they’ve played golf together, but never without Kraft also being there. Smells a bit like Brady’s boss basically telling him “yeah, need to you come and gladhand this guy on the course this weekend”

Might be wrong, but that’s always the impression I got.
