if you only watch GMF i agree, nobody will give the team a chance. Bucs spent big in free agency on both sides of the lines. Ryan Jensen the new centre is a stud. Barber will improve the running game and the depth the bucs have at WR and TE is great. A responsible QB will get points. My worry is still how weak the secondary is. 8-8 season me thinks.
your thoughts on roughing the passer... 2 yes. 1 no. Payton was on the team with the tweak in the rules. Davenports was fine. Others were not. I don't like the change but themz da rules.

I don't like the rules, but they didn't make a difference in the game. 0 defensive stops until the 3rd Q was huge, and Saints DC must have thought they could save the secondary by creating pressure, but that didn't work. Two fumbles didn't help either, but when you score 40 at home you should win.

TB lines on both sides looking ok, it should be a fun ride in that division.

And Barber was great down the stretch last season, he'll be a good back for them at least short term.

So i should keep Barber in my fantasy football team.

I will go with that.

for now yeah. less likely when/ if winston comes back in. Fitz a few times called audibles to run with barber at the right times. Winston's reading of defences isn't as good imo.

Barber info backstory for anyone interested -

Barber is one of those guys that just kind of screws up the metrics, in so much as when he left Auburn early, there was clearly no way in hell he was going to have success in the NFL, not fast enough not quick enough just frankly not good enough.

Had like 10-15 carries as a redshirt freshman. His Soph year, he was behind a Soph stud transfer that was the #1 prospect in the nation from JUCO/prep school, plus there were 2 young studs expected to get carries, a freshman who was Alabama Mr Football, and a redhsirt freshman who was Alabama Mr Football the prior -Kerryon Johnson who is about to make his NFL debut with the Lions.

Well the starter turned out to be somewhere between a knucklehead and a head case who wouldn't play if he was dinged at all, and wound up getting dismissed from the team by the end of the season. The true freshman had ball security issues, almost every time he made some amazing PlayStation move in the open field he followed it up with a fumble. KJ wasn't big enough and wasn't very good and pass protection... So the least physically gifted of the four and the slowest of the four got more snaps, and barely averaged over 4ypc. But he was good in pass protection he didn't drop the ball had decent hands and was a hard worker. Solid but not a spectacular SEC running back.

At the end of the season when he declared he was going to skip his last two years of college and go to the NFL it was a shock. he had one season as the feature back and his career yardage at Auburn was not even 1100 yards. It turns out that his mama had lost her house and was bouncing between friends and the streets, so he left college for a paycheck. He wasn't drafted and wasn't really given much of a shot of making the Bucs roster as a FA. Needless to say we Auburn fans have been about a surprised just anyone after success he's found. But he's the same guy he's not any faster he's not any quicker , still only about 4ypc, but he still doesn't fumble is a good blocker and a hard worker... And yes he bought his Mama a new house.

Hard not to pull for that dude.

Matthew Stafford is a decent QB for most of the game. But when he gets the ball with less than 2 mins left he turns into Fran Elway Tarkington.

I remember a story of a sports fan (surely a Philly guy?) from a few years ago betting against their team every opportunity. That dude made a lot of money. Don't let passion and business mix, unless business is your passion.
Makes sense. If your team wins you don't care as much about the money but if your team loses the winnings help lol
