Matthew Stafford is a decent QB for most of the game. But when he gets the ball with less than 2 mins left he turns into Fran Elway Tarkington.

Nah Stafford is very good. He's dragged that team of nobodies from being the Browns to kind of mediocre for years. I think he has the most comebacks of any QB over the past 3-4 years.

I agree, that's what I was really saying sarcastically, or trying. He's a very good QB, but he is a clutch QB with 2 mins and the game on the line. He's had very few playmakers (Calvin Johnson aside) around him, and not much of an O-line either. He was a pain in the arse at Georgia too, I was at both games he played in Auburn his Freshman and Junior year. Upset us both times. #bitter

Agreed. If anything, Stafford usually has bad first halves in a normal game context, but when it turns into a shootout in the second half he seems to really take off.

The nightmare against the Jets is a Matt Patricia thing. The Jets players all said they knew the Lions plays before they ran them.

Not a good look for a Belichick disciple - again

Not a good look for a Belichick disciple - again

I was watching some show on ESPN yesterday morning - I've been working from the house this week so ESPN in the background and catching up on lots of posting conversations LOL.

But the guy made the point that the Bill Belichick disciples in the NFL aren't looking too good. teams hire Belichick assistance thinking they will emulate Belichick but seeing it and doing it are apparently two very different matters.

The only one that has been wildly successful is that little sawed-off pipsqueak across the state that makes we Auburn fans cringe. But to be fair despite his ridiculous success in college he was an utter train wreck for the two years he coached the Dolphins.

Watched the game with neighbor who is a Detroit transplant. He was having a fit every time the zoomed in on Patrica. Headset on but not talking, a pencil behind his ear that he never seem to use, holding an iPad that he never looked at and never once saw him speaking with a coach or a player. "Our defensive "guru" looks like he's just waiting on a bus!" Haha
