Fair enough, I dont think many would agree. Certainly Vegas has made the Chiefs a 10 point favourite which is just about right.

Betting markets really only reflect betting patterns though. I can see why people would bet so heavily on them in light of their win last year, but I don't think it reflects the reality. And I'd take Rodgers and Allen over Mahomes this year.

You have to realise that Mahomes in the playoffs is a proven force of nature, the last month or so they were walking through games because they were finding it so easy.

The Browns have no pedigree and nearly blew a 35-7 lead against a sub par Steelers.

Is that how many points the Raiders won by against the Chiefs?

Mahomes wasnt the MVP of the season last year either, but he came through when it mattered.

Chiefs are good like, but their division is very weak and they have mostly beaten crap opposition this year. Home advantage not really a factor either. Browns secondary isn't great, so they'll have their hands full with Hill, but otherwise fancy the Browns to win in a high scoring game.
Chiefs haven't beaten a team by more than one score since November 1. They're still rightly the favorite but it isn't unreasonable to think they could lose any game. Browns are 10 point underdogs and my intention is to bet on them unless I see something pretty compelling between now and Sunday. Honestly the Chiefs last 8 games being 8-0 is as dumb as the Steelers first 8 going the same way. Neither team played at that level.

Edit: Well last 7 games I suppose as their backups got smashed by the Chargers.

Well if Reid/Mahomes in the playoffs isn’t compelling enough, then go ahead and throw your money away.

I understand you are Ravens fan do I suggest you watch on Sunday to see what a real QB looks like.

I mean are we really rewriting Andy Reid's entire postseason history because he finally got over the hump once? I'm not sure it was fair beforehand to say he couldn't get it done but it is equally silly to act like now he can't lose a game he should probably win.

Plus I'm betting it against the spread, I still expect KC to probably find a way to win. I'm just not comfortable laying 10.

No, he had a Lamar-lite clone called McNabb and Captain Checkdown Alex Smith previously.

He has a first ballot hall of famer to work with now.

There is only one thing that would lead you to compare McNabb and Lamar. That's all I'm going to say.

Not sure about the Brown's chances against the Chiefs but I fancy the Bills to beat them the following week if everything goes as I expect.
Chiefs are maybe the best team but certainly the most overrated team. They had a healthy slice of luck that pushed their win total up in the regular season. People seem to think they're an 04 Pats like team where they came off a Super Bowl and just dominated to another one and it hasn't been like that. Not to say they can't repeat but I don't think people are talking about how vulnerable they might be.

For additional context they're favored by 10 Sunday but the last win they have over a team that finished above 28th in DVOA by 10+ was against NE on October 5th. Finding a way to win close isn't a bad thing but it is a risky thing.
